    I used this kit probably 7 or 8 years ago and it's held up great. It has stayed glossy and has never flaked or chipped. I put probably 4 or 5 coats on, just trying to use up as much of the paint as I could before it would become unusable.

    I’m really enjoying your series on modding the 3 Turbo, as it is closely related enough to my CX-50 Turbo, so I can learn much from your content. How many tuning revisions did you do when you were dialing in your tune? My mods & plans/thoughts: I have had the SRI& TIP installed for over a year now. I have been sitting on the V1 downpipe for almost a year; I haven’t put it on yet because people found out it caused a CEL (contrary to Corksport’s claim). Corksport offered a $200 rebate and the opportunity to either keep the V1 or swap it for the V2 when it’s released. I opted to swap for the V2 since I’d probably get a CEL & there aren’t any tunes available for the CX-50 yet (but hopefully there will be from DRTuned by the end of this year). Now, I’m just waiting on the Corksport axle-back exhaust to arrive at my door in a few more days. I don’t want my car to be too loud because I don’t want to bother people and I don’t want exhaust drone; I only want to increase the sound just a liiiittle bit and relieve just a bit of back pressure. Who knows if I’ll replace the midpipe at any point. I can’t wait until Corksport releases their drop-in turbochargers for these cars! Would you ever consider doing that sort of upgrade?

    I understand where you are coming from. I am lucky to be able to have both a 2015 Mustang GT Performance Pack and a Miata. If you are to get a Miata I recommend the soft top over the RF. Being in a Miata club the RF owners i have talked with regret not getting a soft top. The RF has wind Buffeting at high speeds with the top down. it also weighs more and cost around 3k more. Plus you can't get a roll bar. I'm just speaking from experience and in the end it is all up to you.

    Would you recommend waxing the wheels as a cheaper alternative to the ceramic coating to help with keeping it cleaner/easier to clean?

  • @WorkzGarage
    @WorkzGarageАй бұрын

    Not really. It's not an alternative to ceramic coating. Waxing will only work on gloss wheels and will only add shine temporarily. Break dust is harsh, and I'm not sure the wax will hold up for long. It's one of those you pay for what you get.

    Your Miata looks great! Are those the Rev9 black chrome emblems? I just purchased a new ND3 grand touring in machine gray (my fav Miata color) and I'm trying to decide between black chrome and gloss black for the emblems. I think the dark chrome looks better on the grand touring trim, but in pictures online it doesn't look quite as dark as I'd like it to be, but in this video it looks plenty dark. Everyone does gloss or matte black emblems on these car and I want my Miata to stand out a bit more, but still maintain an OEM+ appearance.. Nice job on the detail. • @WorkzGarage
    @WorkzGarage2 ай бұрын

    It's needed per my tuner Justin with Mazda Sause Tune due to the new tune. He told me not to touch the gap. It's at whatever an R35 GTR takes. The colder plug will help dissipate heat in the cylinder head better. When adding power through a tune or hardware, at some point, colder plugs are needed.

    Drove w the downpipe from cs and stock exhaust for about a year - don’t know what I was thinking. I figured it wouldn’t show many gains because my second ride is a 6.4 Jeep that’s procharged w headers. Anyway, Just installed the 80mm exhaust and the diff is night and day. W the throttle response issues most tuners have w the turbo and premium I was needing to use highest octane Fuel to feel any sort of boost effect like the car used to have. Now plus fuel actually seems to work fine as the engine can breathe w less back pressure it seems too (maybe it’s just the summer time I dunno). The corksport graph on the turbo down pipe is also confusing if you read it - it shows two colored lines that are green or blue but the key of the graph says thick vs thin lines . It’s confusing to read. I wish I put that exhaust on years ago, w the downpipe it is like a new car lol. Downpipe w catback def worth it, downpipe alone : Nothing at all for anyone wondering - let me save you time in thinking about buying a downpipe alone! I wonder if adding colder spark plugs would help things w the turbo now? I know that procharger recommended that when installing their kit.
