Sorry that my JDM comment rubbed you the wrong way, it’s just a pet peeve of mine. (For some awesome JDM content check out the Dino DC channel.) It’s good that you’ve been spending time over on the S2KI forum as there is a ton of helpful information to be found there. In case you might have missed this in your forum reading, you’ll want to check your engine’s valve clearances as soon as you can for peace of mind. There is a sticky thread in the “S2000 Under The Hood” subforum that Billman created titled “Warning for 2006-2009 owners (DBW cars)” that explains why this is extra important for the 2006+ cars in particular. Another thing you will want to investigate are your rear axle nuts to see if there is any sign of a former owner having retorqued them already. It has been discovered over time that these nuts were not torqued tightly enough from the factory, causing premature wear/damage to the rear wheel bearings and hubs. Search the thread titles for “Rear Axle Nut TSB” for more details. While there is no shortage of things you might consider doing with your S2000, these two will help to prevent damage to your car (while avoiding the hefty bills that would come from fixing the damage). After crossing those things off of your to-do list, enjoy your S2K to the fullest!

S2000s are extremely reliable if property maintained. To your point when buying a S2000 do a refresh all key fluids (motor oil, transmission fluid, diff fluids, brake fluid and clutch). What happened with this car's master clylinder was directly caused by lack of maintenance. You can tell as the clutch fluid was completely black. Enjoy the car and glad you got this resolved. For sure... Original owner of an 06 AP2 with 233k miles and nothing but maintenance items in 18yrs. All depends on how it was taken care of. The pricey maintenance items. OEM shocks at 160k, original clutch replaced at 224k, and last month front and upper and lower control arms full assembly at 232k. Pricey, but if you break it down how long the original parts lasted, i couldn't think of using anything else but oem parts.

So just hit 3 years with it and let me tell you…. It’s been amazing. Mine is black! I drive the hell out of this thing! I’m at 43K miles and it’s my daily driver! I’ve done countless road-trips I’ve even slept In it multiple times with my fiancé. Car camping is possible in it! It’s been my dream car and I’m completely stock. Oil changes every 3.5K miles and it’s been nothing but reliable! I never plan to sell it and I want to keep it forever.
man I really appreciate this feedback and your experience 🙏🏼 no issues at all huh, that’s amazing. These memes really have me paranoid
Nice job with the video review! About to do the same actually! Just FYI your comment about the “Miata outperforming the S2K in every way” couldn’t be further from the truth! Total opposite. The 20 year old S2K outperforms the Miata in every way! Also if you are six foot tall like me you know very well that the Miata is VERY uncomfortable and cramped inside! S2K for the win! Enjoy your new ride!
Definitely won’t argue with you there 💪🏼 love this thing so much I just didn’t want to sound biased haha. Thank you sir for stopping by !
You have great taste in cars and your video quality is great, man. That tow situation is why I always opt out of tow/rental coverage with my insurance.
appreciate this thank you 🙏🏼 and yes, only 15mi covered is a joke. def can’t take this out of state just yet
I love the content man. I dont even own any of the cars you have and the videos still peak my interest. Keep it up!
am trying over here and I appreciate your support 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed
It's such a unique car, I'm so happy to see people enjoying what is my dream car!
everyone in the comments reminds me how special this thing is, thank you 🙏🏼
My husband drives that car 😜
AP1 owner here with a buddyclub spec 2 straight pipe exhaust so it’s on the loud side but anyways,I 100% agree with you about the nostalgia this car makes me feel, makes me forget about allll my problems and issues I have, especially ringing out that f20c alll the way to 9k , this car is such a damn keeper im never selling mine idc im taking it to the grave with me!!!😊
this thing really is therapy I can’t get over it either haha. glad someone gets it! I’ll be taking mine to the grave as well as long as this thing isn’t a total lemon 💪🏼
Good stuff bro
Looks like your s2k was driven hard by the previous owner. Either way keep it, prices keep going up especially if its intact with all 10vins. Also, if you plan to lower, just add axle spacers and you won't have any issues with axle giving out quickly. Just subbed.
agreed 🙏🏼 hopefully no more surprises with this thing. Thank you for the sub!
@@onsite_nate Np💯, I plan on getting one hopefully this summer I prefer Ap1 gpw with all red interior but the prices are a bit too much for an Ap1 in general. Might as well get a ap2 since they are fetching for the same price.
I'm local in Vegas, driving my 2017 370Z and yes I agree that this is a legendary car. I love driving mine and just hit 31k Pure drivers car indeed. My dream car aswell, and crazy I still do get compliments mostly everywhere I go. Seems like not alot of 370Zs out there almost like a unicorn. Anyways great video. See ya around brother 🫡
thank you for this 🙏🏼 crazy how not only they’re not everywhere on the road, but also I don’t see much on this KZread space. Glad you’re making the most out of yours as well
I'd pay about tree fitty
Owned 15 STI, can't bare the time (mod) effort as well $$$, from SE Asia, given up selling now with 2023 Audi RS3.
the RS3 can definitely be the “grown up” STI I love those things. Congrats man
Hey bro, nice video. Don't let snobs of any sort dictate what you like, what you buy, how you dress or whatever. People think their opinion matter, but it doesn't. It will only drag you down if you allow it. Keep being yourself and you will gind like minded people. Really cool car btw 😊👍🏻
Very true 🙏🏼can’t have these miserable people ruin others happiness and success
Nice vid ❤ what is your fuel consumption ?
ty sir. surprisingly I average 21mpg with the auto based on what the car tells me
Wow thats amaizing, good luck
F1, fastest road cars on the planet - Automatic, padel shifters! Pretty manly. Solid video.
this is what I’m saying 😤 thank you for support
Man please if u can hold onto that car forever dying bread
almost every STI owner has told me this haha. no plans as of now 👌🏼
@@onsite_nate u have to atleast get a 3inch catback
@@onsite_nate the new vbs might not have brembos but overall it’s a great car I’m gonna put brembos on it just bigger rotors on front and slap it on
I had a 2019 Sti limited 10k miles full bolt ons just sold it and I’m mad at myself and depressed 😢
