Scuola di Arti Marziali Tradizionali Giapponesi - Nihon Kobudo
The Kobukan Roma association was founded in early 1999 by bringing together a skilled group of practitioners and lovers of traditional martial arts, who have been present on Italian and international tatami mats for years. Today it boasts, and makes available to students, more than twenty years of experience, rich in direct relationships with the masters and places of origin of the Japanese martial arts schools practiced: Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu, Hoki Ryu, Fuden Ryu. The Kobukan Dojo of Rome joins the Dai Nippon Butokukai International Division (www.dnbk.org).
The Dojo is led by the Master Fabio Bardanzellu

- Kyoshi 7° Dan Iaido, school of Hoki Ryu
- 3° Dan Sojutsu, school of Fuden Ryu

The practice currently takes place in the Dojo located in Piazzale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, n. 20 - 00144, Roma

Sono un praticante di katori e hoki ryu della Sardegna, concordo con lei sulla utilità e opportunità di un dialogo tra le varie scuole italiane. Why the screaming part...🤔
The screaming is for proper breathing, also when someone comes at you with a sword it's can often times scare and freeze the opponent.
It’s called kyai (idk that katori uses the same name, but in karate, it’s kyai :) )

Mi chiedevo tre cose: la pronuncia corretta in giapponese dei termini “Shinogi” e “Shinogi Ji”, inoltre, ho visto diverse fonti definire il tagliente con il solo termine “Ha”, è più corretto chiamarlo “Ha” o “Hasaki”? Alcune lame hanno una scanalatura sullo Shinogi, è corretto riferirsi ad essa come “Hi” o come ho letto da altre fonti “Bohi”? Grazie!

Hello, please can I have a question. It seems like both of the practicioners hold their bokuto quite far behind the handguard - tsuba for most of the kata, is there a reason for that? Well visible for example at 0:42. Thank you.
I can't speak for these practitioners or their tradition of TSKSR, but I do know from other ryu-ha that the lead hand next to the tsuba is held slightly away and angled away from the tsuba, so that if your opponent's blade comes down your blade and hits your tsuba or is deflected there and bounces off, your hand is protected by the tsuba. A hand sitting flush fully against the tsuba isn't nearly as protected and risks getting cut as the blades fly.
