Started my channel in September 2021.
I'm a bloke who has in the last 3 years, gradually became a massive Retro gamer, as I was starting to get a little bored with the PC gaming scene, and being stuck in the house due to restrictions at the time etc.
I gutted my old garden shed and turned it into a gaming shed with 8bit computers and 16bit consoles.
So this is a completely new thing for me on KZread, and I must admit, something I am not used to! 😆
Anyway, I hope you all like and enjoy my journey for you in showing my game reviews from my childhood computer, Zx
Spectrum especially, as well as the PC Commodore 64 and Amiga 500, Mega Drive, PSP, Wii, SMS, and a few Gamecube games as.well

Morning Glen, I it's definitely Contra buddy, maybe Ocean couldn't get the Contra name or something and changed it lol Quite a difficult game alright, and a tad frustrating at times not being able to see the bullets against thr back ground 😄 It's ok for a quick blast, I might need some practice like mate lol. Not one I ever had for the Speccy Paul, I know the Amstrad version is supposed to be great, I did buy that when I had an Amstrad but the damn thing wouldn't load🤣 Looks brutal on the Speccy Have a good weekend mate 👍

The sound is quite nice, and the graphics are good! The background doesn't have enough colors to help the enemy bullets stand out, and add in (what looks like) slow controls.. 😬 Oh, that enemy base looks pretty great! Good playing, I enjoyed watching that!

Loved this game. However as a kid I played it probably a couple of times and the tape screwed up haha. I tried time and again to get it working but it wasn’t to be haha. Will have to give it a shot in 2024 😄. Enjoy that weekend paul.

GRYZOR looks absolutely retrospectively brilliant on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128K 😺👍🕹️. Even the music 🎵🎶 is magnificent 😺👍🕹️. Also, you played... well... great 😸😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

I remember sabre wolf, had it on the commodore 16 plus 4, it was a great classic, took weeks to complete it and it was full of things telling you that if you reached the end then there was a surprise for you,, yeah, that surprise was a statement telling you to look out for sabre wolf 2 coming out soon,, I felt disappointed at that, and another thing, I never found sabre wolf 2 either, was it ever made or released?
Hello there, Sabre Wulf is a classic I have fond memories playing with my brother back in the day. I only ever found 3 parts of Amulet so never finished it. But yes, Sabre Wulf 2 would've been Knightlore featuring Sabreman again. It's an Isometric game, it was massive back in the day, but I prefer Sabre Wulf. Cheers there. This is a very early game on the Zx Spectrum, a classic by Ultimate Play the game, who later become Rare. And mate, you can't call the Zx Spectrum 48k and console lol. It's a 8-bit Home micro computer made by Sinclair in 1982, it plays games and you can program on it too. It's got a massive library of all different kinds of games play, enjoy it if you can 👍 😊

Liking the new intro for the 2nd channel Paul mate and what a game rainbow island is this Amiga version looks class. I used to play the master system version and got the megadrive version now and the Amiga version just looks as good enjoy the curry mate 🙂👍

RAINBOW ISLANDS is one of Taito's most brilliant Arcade classics and one of the best arcade conversions ever made for the Commodore 64 and Amiga 😺👍🕹️. Although frustrating 😹, it is still legendary 😺👍🕹️.

IIRC, this was the first Spectrum £10 game and came in a black "deluxe" box. I never finished it either, like you got 3 pieces ONCE. I coudn't understand how low the completed % was when I died having collected 3 lol. Very vibrant Ultimate graphics and slick playability whilst challenging. What blew my mind a few years ago was when I found out that Ulimate had finished Knightlore (Sabre mans supposedly 2nd outing) before they finished his first appearance in Sabre Wulf, but delayed release due to leap in graphics to not impact Wulfs sales.
I had the big box version at first, got lost when we moved house I think. I know knightlore was massive when it was released for being isometric etc, but I preferred Sabre wulf any day lol 👍 Thanks for the visit buddy ✌️ 😊

Like i said before, never had this back in the day, dont remember trying either until recent years even though i remember borrowing that Sold a Million pack off someone at school. I couldn't get on with it when i did get round to playing it, Ultimate were awesome though 👍

Was never much of a fan of sabrewolf, I always found games where baddies constantly re-spawned annoying and frustrating. But that's just me 😂

Cracking little game, find the 4 pieces of the Amulet round the jungle, get passed the guardian and escape the jungle 😀 👍 It's one of those games I always go back too mate, still love the gameplay and graphics after all these yrs.
