Welcome to Down N Dirty
This is for entertainment uses only.
The channel is about doing repairs, modifications and upgrades to a little bit of everything.
With some fun off-road adventures and a little more serious crawling.
Fabrication projects and other DIY how to's. Tools and equipment reviews on what I use in the shop.
I hope my videos are helpful and inspire people to do their own thing. I am not a professional, but I love doing this!
The methods and practices that I use are not necessarily the best or the only way to do any of this, but they are the way I have learned and experienced them. I want to share my knowledge and passions with everyone.
I welcome and encourage feedback, good or bad. I would never dislike a person’s video without telling them why, that's how we all improve!!
Thank you for checking out my channel and make sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss out on new content!!!
Appreciate Y'all,
Larry

When he hit that tree it looked like it hurt
He needed help getting out, it was a really hard hit!
@@DownNDirty_OffRoaddang......do you keep up with the rock bouncing scene? If so can you tell me if and where they do shows in Ohio I would love to go to one
@@CabFN.4 They don't do any in Ohio
@@DownNDirty_OffRoad darn it what is the closest event to Ohio?
A true man of class.
Thanks!
I’ll be honest I have never had grease gun with a bleeder
They all have a beeder screw/fitting?
@@DownNDirty_OffRoad really then I will say I have never bleed a grease gun lol
@@mattyforlife After going through hundreds of tubes I've found it needed many times. If nothing else you don't have to pump and pump until grease comes out spitting air with it.
Nice dude, thanks
Thanks!
I just now ran across this glad to finally see video from this trail that day, was glad to have made it thru without winching, was my only time I went to windrock and the only trail I hit was
It was a really good time!!
That thing must have some serious power!!!
800+ at the crank. LSA superchargered 5.3 on E85.
Looks like a wild time!!😳
Excellent camera placements!
Thanks!
Where do I get that bearing
Wolf Engineering for the part.
Hacen envío a México
don't know
What amp should your aux switch be?
5amp
Which trail is this with the rock obstacle? Our jeep group is headed there this weekend and most of us have never been. Definitely want to check this area out!
Which obstacle? Can you give me a time in the video?
@@DownNDirty_OffRoad from about 6 minutes to 19 minutes in the video.
@@vdub5818 It's TNT and the rock garden at the top of it. AFC is to the right of it. When you get there go to the barn yard first and check that area out. I sponsor skinny pedal there. To the left down river road you will find TNT and on down is Rocker Knocker, another of my favorites there. Ask Denise at the shed when you pay and she will direct you.
I just discovered the same issue with my replacement o-ring. Parts store told me it was an exact match! Definitely way too fat to fit
🤪Looks like a wicked great time, LOVE your videos!
😍CRAZY TRAIL!
😜WILD!
Very cool...
Cool brother!
Awsome filming Larry!

Nice work! It was good to meet you and chat a bit last weekend. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, it was nice meeting you as well!😀
Nice video. Thank you for getting and sharing video of my buggy. I enjoyed being your camera mount! Lol. Didn't really know that my buggy sounded like that.
Thank you and thanks for running a camera for me, grteatly appriciated!!!😃
Good video. Looks like they may have done a little maintenance to trail 15.
Thank you! They did in the large V notch
Can I use the 2011 Hydroboost for my 2006 LBZ 3500 Dually.
Yes, but the hole for the brake peddle pin is slightly smaller and will need to be opened up
@@DownNDirty_OffRoad What drill bit size is it to make hole larger.
Great informative video.
Thank you!!😀
What hub part number did you use? I am having an issue finding out the right part replacement
This one was a MOOG 513423. AC Delco 19427800 is the same as well.
Tackling this on my LJ in about 10 minutes. Thanks for the clear video!
You'er welcome, and thank you!!😃
Looks like a decent tool but what’s the price for a “specialty” tool vs a multipurpose C clamp style ball joint press from harbor freight? If they’re comparable and I do a lot of U joints maybe I could justify it……hard to beat a multi purpose C style though
They are compareble, but this is much smaller and lighter weight for trail use?
It is really nice, I have the big brother one for medium duty and class 8 trucks. However, mine were purchased by my company, otherwise I would not own a set. They're just not really worth the money, get a Chinese version if you're buying your own.
Dude I have a regular C clamp style but never seen this. Already about to retire but if I had 10 years left turning wrenches then that would be nice.
Ill just stick to a hammer and socket. Takes less time anyway
If you have something to pound it on in the mud and sand on the trail.
@@DownNDirty_OffRoad you dont carry basic tools?
@@jakehanneman6956 Always, and this one of them!
That tool is the only tool that can replace some U-joints without disassembly of the components for example Dana 60 independent front Ford axle. So trust me that's way less work than taking everything apart and putting it in a vise
I agree with the first commenter. I have built drivelines for 25 years and have never used one of these things.
Very detailed, besty out there imho
Thank you!!😃
A vice and a socket bro, c’mon. Invest your $$, don’t fall for this gimmicky corporate crap.
I don't carry a large vise on the trail? You can replace axle joint without pulling the axle.
Dang man im really hoping this fixes it. I can tighten the t25 torque screws and its better for a couple days but then goes again
Mine is still silent! It is well worth it!!
We have had a ton of race line bolts break. Went to American Made hardware from McMaster and they took care of it
Good to know!!
It’s wild mines leaking right where your bunny strap is holding it back. Literally right in between that seam. And I don’t want to do this hose assembly because I just literally replaced everything else
Bungy straps holding it
That sucks
i loved your install for the carrier! thank you for the videos. this will help me when i install mine. and for your weatherpack connectors, the rubber seal piece…the little side is supposed to be crimped on at the end of the pin.
Thank you!!
the grease fitting is a good call. i go to do that for myself too
I didn't hear you say why you were changing out the hydro boost or how to diagnose a problem with it. I have an 06 GMC dump truck and am not sure if I need a new master cylinder or a new hydro boost or both.
I changed because of steering issues. When they go bad in the trucks you loose the ability to steer well while braking. It took care of the problem
What a stupid video!
What happens to the negative wire that comes out of the winch?
Goes to chassis ground or battery negative.
Getting there is more difficult than the purpose of the visit. I have a strong dislike for those clips along with a love for their marvelous grip.
Does this apply to 2012 models
