    Hi there, Just got the exhaust, but couldn’t get the S-bracket aligned correctly there is like a really large gap between the S-bracket and muffler. Could you send some pictures of how yours S-bracket and muffler are connected?

    Looking great! It seems we have similar tastes... Somehow we have the same bike, seat cover, and helmet (but nardo grey). I am also planning to buy the Kelpi shorty but I'm still debating on the stainless vs black ceracoated. Let us know how the ceracoat wears off I'm not confident it will last or break down eventually. Thanks!

  • @abitofsindy

    Yes, we do! Also, I contacted Kelpi about the same thing since I couldn't decide between the black and stainless. They advised to clean the cerakote consistently with WD40 to avoid it from wearing off but only time will tell. I'll definitely let you all know if it wears down over time.

    I'm thinking of putting a Kelpi Shorty on my 2021 MT-09 SP, I think the black ceracote will look sick. I'm just worried that it's going to be a bit too loud for me to enjoy longer rides. Your mic makes me feel like I'm right, but I'd like to ask how loud you think it is in person? I have an IXIL Hyperlow on my XSR700 and that is right on the money being just loud enough.

    Hello, great video! I have installed the Quadlock wireless charger aswell but i did not have the automatic switch off when the bike is parked. My solution to not drain the battery was to power the charging kit through the battery fuse. In the yamaha xsr700 manual the battery fuses are labled and i put my one onto the ignition fuse. Works perfect and i dont need an extra accessory in the small area under the seat ;) Keep on, ride safe :)

    May I ask how tall you are and how you get your feet down and/or are happy with the handling? I love the bike, have yet to do my drivers license but I read the seatheight is 84 cm? I have a stride of 78, so my shoes would be dangling on either side, would find that scary to start on.

  • @abitofsindy
    @abitofsindy4 ай бұрын

    I'm 5'1". When I first got the bike (84cm) I was on my tippy toes so I would stop with one foot down and get of my bike when parking it. I ended up trimming the seat down (kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWhtmNCkg8qdddY.htmlsi=X4gbPAPAxCFl2VcX) and the balls of my feet are now touching making me feel more confident when riding. You can also lower the suspension or the bike further if it makes you feel more comfortable.

  • @kentower
    @kentower4 ай бұрын

    @@abitofsindy thank you for replying! Yes I saw that video where you chopped off a bit of the cushion part of your seat. Unfortunately I have two left hands, but I would probably get this done plus the lowering just to make sure. I got a 125cc to get used to driving again, sold my car some 6 or seven years ago and I was overwhelmed with learning to drive a motorcycle plus getting into reading the traffic again. I feel a lot better now and less anxious but still am scared to do the drivers test, hope I find the courage someday, until then my xsr125 says hi to your bigger version(I have the same color:))!

    I got mine in October this year after completing the course in September. It's my first bike so hopefully I don't crash and it lasts me for quite a while. I only got to ride it for less than 2 months because now it's snowing here in Toronto. So far I've put a Kelpi full exhaust system, which sounds just absolutely amazing, and some bar end mirrors, tidied up the tail side and changed the turn signals to leds and now have my dream bike.
