Hi Patrick, I’m not 100% on this occasion as you mentioned it was quite a while ago. I generally go down to about 19psi with the stock 19’s due to the small side wall. When I run the 18’s with TuffAnts and the mud tyres I can go a couple lower. The biggest change to the performance was the 18’s and the KM3’s, truly transformed the car in mud. Cheers Owen

I was thinking the exact same thing! The mudflaps are good on your D4. I have an older D3 which I think they would also look good on.

Hi there, it was at a Land Rover instructional day where they teach you how to use your new car. It was seven years ago so not entirely sure if it was all the way down but certainly was put down to a point where the car was required to manage the descent.

No worries I’m glad you are finding it helpful. I can send you a picture if I could work out how on here? Basically I put the switch in the panel that drops down to the area you are working in at your right knee.

Installed mine today on my D4 (Sydney), your tips saved me a bit of time - especially that 4th large round bolt under the weather strip. The Eezi-Awn feels so lightweight I initially wondered if it would be strong enough but it seems to be. Thanks for the video.

Can’t beat the D4 for clearance. The IFS has no diff pumpkin to get caught up. Like a hummer minus the portal axle. Plus he benefits of in road manners. This model was way ahead of its time. Has the power and torque of todays vehicles with a vehicle design of 20 years ago (DISCO 3). Big Fan of the DISCO 4. Some question the reliability. I’ve heard good things except the odd crankshaft failure.

Hi, the issue with super extended mode is that you need to be stuck to access it. Once you’re stuck generally it’s too late. I have installed LLAMS on to the D4 now (see my other video) so now I can choose height before I tackle a tough obstacle or deep rutted muddy bogs. Thanks for watching. Cheers Owen

Hi Mark, I used a product from TuffAnt that fits on the winder loop in the boot. Then I welded on an impact driver fitting so it can extend up from the floor. I then use the impact driver to lower the wheel. Cheers Owen

Nice idea. I ahve also a Disco 4 2016 SDV6 :) . I don't use the 2 extra seats at all, so I removed them completely and carpenter friend made me a nice wood floor that fits perfectly, made of 2 sections. Being wood I can do what ever to it. This also creates some storage space for stuff you hope you will never need :) . The bloody seats are like 50 kg, so you gain some payload as well. I saved all the bolts so I can install them back at any time if sell the car ( I don't think I ever will, I love it too much :) ) . Great videos.

Yeah, but I find the extended mode is a reactive function, should be something you can select before getting stuck. I have purchased LLAMS so I will fit that shortly. BTW sorry I missed your comment somehow. Cheers Owen

I’ve been advised you can still run 65 profile tyres when on bump stops, but you may get a little more rubbing. I haven’t tested it though. Thanks for sharing your setup.

Cheers pal. It’s really hard to get accurate info as there are so many variables. I would just hate the idea of being in the middle of know where and can’t drive at my tires as a little to big. With the TUFFANTS and KM3’s I don’t feel there is a real benefit in going a fraction bigger… risking getting stuck. Thanks for subscribing, hope you enjoy. Cheers Owen

I bit the bullet and put 265/65r18 on my Tuffant steelies and then got my LR indie mechanic to drop it to its bump stops. There's a little rubbing at the rear but it still rolls.

I just directly hoop the tie down on the seat mounting bracket. The control box just between the side trim and seat. If I need the 6th seat, I just remove the fridge. Battery and control box stay.
