  I can't fully explain it, I love my Evo's... For me personally, I party hard all the time... My Evo does just that. Well, mine I don't consider an Evo, even though I swapped whole subframe, axles, diff, motor, SST Trans, front clip, etc. from an Evo MR to my Lancer GT Sportback Wagon, to fully have a legit, EvoX wagon. Although, I wouldn't mind picking up another 8... Gosh I miss my 8... I had this whole philosophical discussion with my Subie friends about this, we all agree on one thing, Subies work their 9-5 and they party just hard on Friday night and all through Sunday. Evo's?! Well, we just party straight 7 days of the week... Non stop.

  No. The odd thing is in the table in the video it clearly calls out (correclty) that the Evo IX's engine has MIVEC (Variable valve timing) while the VIII's doesn't. Also has better coolant passages on the IX so if you can get the IX engine it would be better

  What you wrote here initally "Grand Sport Rally" is correct. That's the only meaning. Just a ton of misinformation in the video overall including the GReddy turbo stuff. Evos run MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industry) turbos, i.e OEM mitsubishi turbos barring a few Ralliart specials.

  Perfect explanation about the “non car enthusiasts “ sounds like my dad. I remember when I supercharged my vw vr6 and upon start up and idle ….all you would hear was that beautiful whine/squealing sound. My dad would say to me “you paid for the car to sound like that??!!” Hahahaha he never had a clue. Strangers in the street would head nod. Some knew what the sound meant. I also own a 06evo IX, and that car always puts a smile on my face when driving. Never knew she would become a unicorn in the future lol stay safe fellow car lovers 🙏🏼

  Great reminder clip of the EVO IX. I grabbed my 06 IX brand new with 2 miles on it, fast forward to now sitting with 71k on it and non molested. Had no idea back then, that it would be a unicorn in the future. Funny how my kids friends come over and always say how my sons dad has a “fast and furious car” lol
