  Was LEM in csgo. I just went and got my first rank today and I ended up with silver 2. Won 4/5 of my games and have a 2.0 kd with 120 adr. Is the rank system just completely broken?

  you are incorrect. Vsync when used in conjunction to gsync plus fps cap or reflex doesn't even enable and doesn't have any added latency.

  cs2 is not the definitive way to play cs, it's not even the definitive way to play csgo. 1.6 is still infinitely better.

  The main problem with Overwatch was that cheaters began subverting it by scripting to give terrible feedback to Overwatch, tainting Valve's data and convicting wrongful players while not convicting actual cheaters. It's just not tenable unless they can much better vet who gets Overwatch.

  Sorry but sawed off is a good gun for t side dust 2 eco. Buy it, hide behind yhr box in lower tuns while ur team goes B, wait... Eventually someone comes lower and u get to scare the shit out of them and maybe get a better gun

  "good updates" yeah removing russians so the rest of the world could have a massivley decresed cheater problem that would be a good update but instead they reward cheaters with a global leaderboard. and the new maps just showcased that the cheaters went ham in it on day 1. was unplayable.

  Wanted to get into CS2 but my low trust factor from being a brand new player completely ruined my experience. I have to play with my friends just to get into a lobby without a potential cheater due to their high trust factor.

  This is the reason why cheaters will never be gone with things like overwatch. Some of the situations where you're like "this is fine" are pretty obvious cheating. If people can't agree on that, they can only ban the obvious rage cheaters and those cheaters aren't a massive problem since they are pretty rare and get busted very quickly. I'm 100% sure if the third guy was on the overwatch thing, he would NOT get banned. I "reported" a lot of those kind of cheaters when overwatch was a thing and none of them ever go banned.

  rating systems arent ruining gaming, ranked modes are literally where sbmm makes sense. the problem is when its used for casual modes, thats where sbmm ruins gaming

  i played valorant very actively on my windows partition. i liked it even more than CS. a LOT more. but i got rid off windows completely. and kernel level anti cheat doesn't work on linux. and i wouldn't want kernel level anti cheat. but i also don't want cheater. it's hard >.<

  i think you hit the nail on the head with dedicated servers. when nostalgia grabs me, i learned, it isn't the games i miss. it's the communities and servers. i cod:uo , cs1.6... i had my "clan servers" 15ish people in the clan and about 60 people came to these servers EVERY DAY. you always had someone to play with. and you knew the people. The servers had their own feel to it, just because of the people. now your clans are discord servers. and you socialising with the same 4 oither people in your static. people are sweaty and competitive. No laughing, just PERFECT callouts and teamplay. Maybe im just unlucky, not finding the right "communities". but i play less shooters now. they feel like a job, unless i just hop in with randos that i literally NEVER meet again. so yea....i hate to be one to say "back in the day it was better" but it actually was.
