  I think it's a little sad to be devoted to a man who gives you rules to live by and may or may not punish or reward you...   Well first of all, It’s a book that shows us how to live. It’s our guide. The Bible should be taken seriously. And it’s not sad to devote yourself to the creator of this world and the creator of YOU, it’s actually the opposite. It’s the best thing you will ever do! Since giving my life to Jesus, I’ve actually had so much more joy! Also, the Bible says that the Lord doesn’t want anyone of us to perish, but all to come to repentance. He gives everyone free will to choose though. You don’t have to think about how “ He may or may or not punish you” if you give your life to him! You can’t lose your salvation once you’re saved! Also, I don’t want to put myself first. The Bible also tells us in Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” So therefore we should put others before ourselves. God, then others, then ourselves last. 🙂🙂
