I listen to almost all kinds of music, but my mainstay is and will always be metal (mostly black metal). But dub has had a big place in my heart since a few years now. At the beginning of the whole corona pandemic I had a social anthropology class about the social life of objects where we read your text 'The Politics of the dead in Zimbabwe'. The text made me curious about the author and through that I had found my way to your youtube channel in early 2020. I was in my masters and when I had to write paper assignments and then my master's thesis, I would usually listen to dub because it's one of few genres that allows me to concentrate but also has an inspiring effect at the same time. More precisely, I listened to your Coronapocalypse Sessions most of the time and experienced loads of great dub songs through that for the first time. After finishing my studies roughly a year after, I didn't really listen to the sessions anymore. But just a few moments ago I was listening to some dub wich reminded me of you and made me look up this channel. I hope this comment isn't too rambly, I just wanted to thank you for sharing all the sessions with the world and spreading great dub artists' music!

Correction: the Duke Reid/Treasure Isle rocksteady track ‘Love is a treasure’ that comes in around ten minutes in is of course Freddie Mckay, Lizzy is toasting over the version which follows. Thanks to my mate Tom for pointing this out. Turns out the labels on the 7inch that I played it from are the wrong way around, but thats hardly a reasonable excuse. Great track and great version.
