Over thirty years of experience in the development and production of personal protective equipment, both for leisure and sport, as well as for the professional world: that is Climbing Technology. It all began with the mountaineering tradition that characterises our home at the foot of the mountains of Bergamo and Lecco. A tradition that has been the source of inspiration for the growth of our brand and has allowed us to develop our products with skills and professionalism, to be tested in the local mountain environment. In mid-2021, a new exciting chapter in our history has begun. After many years of successful cooperation, we became part of the SKYLOTEC family, a leading company in the manufacture of personal protective equipment especially in the professional world. This acquisition gave a new power to our product development and the CT brand is costantly growing and improving.

Miglior attrezzo esistente!
My favorite device. It has replaced all my other devices for every use. Love it.
which ropes were used in this presentation?
Salve. Come vedo, è adatto a chi sa usare solo grigri? Grazie
*_As always black diamond>>>_**_allmy.tips/ClimbBelay?lL── _**_ put out great gear easy to use how to photo on the side of this belay device made by a company you can trust._*
*_Well made, solid belay device!>>>_**_allmy.tips/ClimbBelay?cC>_**_ I've had this for just about a year now, using in a gym and it still looks brand new. Will continue to buy from this company!_*
When i use this for landing carabine is warm top much :(
ALPINE UP. L'ASSICURATORE Più COMPLETO E VERSATILE MAI PRODOTTO... Avete capito?
With good old school technique...there is nothing out there safer or better. Best peice of gear to come around in many many years. Nuke-proof. Cheers.
very good
A brief blog post that explains the versatility of ALPINE UP. blog.climbingtechnology.com/en/2014/04/alpine-up-discover-the-click-up-and-dynamic-belay-modes-10651.html

What about giving slack quickly? For what I've seen in the video is not possible and without that no one would ever use this device.
Ale Sequeira it is possible, and it’s done in exactly the same way as with a manual device.
Fenomenale !
I love my alpine up! ! It's great for project climbing a route. Gri gri's are nice but this is awesome it does take a bit to get use to as far as the locking position (lead climbing) but I love it. And it looks cool
Achtung Fehler!
Is it possible to self belay on ClickUp?
I have this device and it's great, it is the most versatile device I've ever seen! The only downside I could find is that you can't really use the click-up mode when top roping, cause it clicks up all the time if you wanna have someone tight (beginner), and it makes pulling in the rope much harder if you don't have a really thin rope so you have to use the dynamic mode for that. That means that you can't really give it to two beginners to belay each other while top roping like you can with a grigri. That being said, I don't like the grigri cause I think it teaches people lousy technique and not to pay enough attention to the climber. People that get use to it find it difficult to switch to a belay plate (ATC), like dynaimic mode on this device cause they don't really know what they are doing no matter how good of a (sport) climber they are...
best music though!
I bought this device earlier this year and love it. It does has more options and I can be carried away but I think it is the best hardware I seen so far...
Every few years a device like this is put to the market, but it never seems to be a big hit. I remember the TRE Sirius. It had most of the features of this device. However it never caught on. Maybe people prefer simpler devices, which are not so complicated to use. I like both my ATC Guide and my Petzl Reverso very much-they are both small, versatile and simple to use. I don't like using my friends TRE because every time I need to think what is the right way to use it.
Yeah I'm not sure, it seem the exact same than an ATC, but I think it lock the rope when there is a fall... so I **think** that if you would not hold the rope, it would be locked more than with an ATC. (no need to comment on someone not holding a rope, I know). Now, I really don't like the manipulation that has to be done to "unclick"/unlock the rope. Looks tricky and requiring too much dexterity. I love my $30 ATC.
The difference is the locking feature. It locks automatically provided that you hold the dead end of the rope. The clicking sound is produced by the carabiner when sliding from the non-locked position to the locked position.
buenissimo
Like this to awesome
What's the difference between this and the ATC? Does this lock automatically or is the forward clicking just supposed to remind you to put the rope in the brake position?
When taking in slack, shouldn't she be securing the rope with her non-brake hand?
