This Groasis Vegetable channel is a part of Groasis B.V. In this channel, you will find various KZread-videos about the vegetable trials that we have conducted during 2013 in the Netherlands. These experiments had two objectives:
1) Can we grow vegetables with 90% less use of water and keep the production equal?
2) Can we replace artificial fertilizers through adding mycorrhiza (funguses) to the roots?

Thar pretty cool. My hypothesis is that the fungi provides specific nutrients to the plants. So when one plant requires different nutrients ratio it could be why it did not work.
where can you buy the mycorrhiza fungi in the Netherlands, and which virity do you recommend?
i heard you saying "mycorrhiza application in the waterbox treatment" I thout you only put in once in the soil. Could you please explain a bit more how to apply and how often?
Good job sir. Do you put dissolved fertilizers inside those containers?
Do you look at the fungi with a microscope like Matt Powers recommends?
but they still don't taste good. Not as good as tomatoes grown in the ground.
Could a lack of mycorrhizae fungi possibly explain why some plants in planter boxes and large pots do poorly?
plastic !
I am in the USA Do you know where I can buy the Groasts?
Less consumerism, this is an expensive useless bucket. Farmer here. EVERYBODY needs to take care of what you have first! The Amazon has been destroy to grow crops that aren't Native! LEARN from the Indians, how they make it in the jungle! The jungle provides everything for them but other people IMPOSE their stupid ways of life in them and that is when everything goes to s h i . The same in the deserts people use the resources around, dah!
what culture substrate did you use in your experiment
So you put one with half nutrients and no mycorrhizae and another with full nutrients and mycorhizzae? Of course the one with full nutrients will grow bigger/healthier?
I like how he says tom8toes :D
Como posso adquirir estás bandejas no Brasil??
Wonderful garden
fantastisch . ga proberen er een na te maken
Amazing technology thank you for the video.
What happened to cucumber
It worked but was not profitable like the tomatoes were,
🇰🇪located ak KENYA where can i Get this Mycorrhizae bio organic fertilizer pls?
🇰🇪located ak KENYA where can i Get this Mycorrhizae bio organic fertilizer pls?
Its not much of a test if you also change other aspects eg half the nutrients... shame
It is because the test was whether you can get yields using much less water. Both treated and control had same conditions, only difference being one has mycorrhiza whereas other doesn't. The test shows that you can use much less water and fertilizer by amending the soil with myco.
@@diamondprincss02that’s not true. One had more nutrients and did much better. Thats the only test here
I cannot help thinking of a lecture on vetch cover crop. The proposition is these achieve the same. So, it makes me ponder, if how nature cools topsoil with microvegetation has been proven smart with this more technological approach.
Ek hou baie van die voedselbank idee. Hier in Suid Afrika het ons ook n hoeé hoeveelheid van arm mense wat nie geld het om hul gesinne die nodige voedsel te koop nie. Baie geluk n pragtige idee
Hello. Its a dream of mine to come and visit you during 2023. We have so much to learn from you.
Very interesting study.
I am still wondering, what's best kind of mycorrhizal fungi
SYSTEME TRES INTERESSANT A PLUS VULGARISER
AMAZING!!!
I have done a video on how to make Mycorrhizal Fungi specific to your local area and local growing conditions, "How to make JADAM Indigenous Microorganism Solution (JMS)" please check it out on my channel
is there anyone involved with this type of tomato production that thinks the exceptionally long tomato vines are a production complexity that need to be reduced?
This explains why the Dutch tomatoes in my local grocers taste amazing ☺️☺️☺️ very interesting 😊 thank you for sharing your knowledge and tomatoes ☺️
you lucky 😊
water does not leave the planet in fact water comes to earth from space all the time. the oceans have not gone down or up
Wow, these highly intellegent Hexican Sexicans are getting everywhere, its great. Very few understand that the earth does loose some water and then gain some from Space Dust and meteorites. Space Dust being the largest descender from space
What an incredibly simplistic view. The oceans have “gone down and up” thousands of times due to glaciation. And when seawater rises like it is and will continue to, it travels something like ten times further horizontally than vertically, permanently ruining coastal farmland due to salinisation.
What do you use for your seed state substrate?
Hi which micorrizzhae use?
Likely a mix of Glomus Mosseae, Glomus Intradices, Rhizophagus Intradices, and Rhizophagus Irregularis
Svp adresse de la société qui a fabriqué ce produit merci
Thé Price ??
The way I understand it different strains of mycorrhizae work better for different plants
So I've heard , as well 🤔💭💭
I guess cucumbers are one of those plants which does not benefit from "Mycorrhizae" fungi.
They benefit waaay more than tomatoes (think 2-3x the size), but they focused on the tomatoes for the series.
That is very good we hope get the fertilizer mix
Love this experiment to see if products truly work
Yes, plants perspire to maintain an optimal state of growth but the key factor to limiting the perspiration is to provide them with the right conditions from the get go and the key to using less water is to capture any additional moisture that the plant may perspire to replenish the system. Think of it as a "closed loop" system. By implementing these practices one may expect to capture 100% of the water required to grow a plant. Greenhouses should therefore be designed to be entirely sealed off (including below the root zone), oxygen for the roots and CO2 for the leaves should be generated within this structure and the air should be passed through a condenser in order to capture humidity and transform it back into water while maintaining optimal growing conditions. Additionally, the walls of greenhouses should be constructed in such a way so that any condensation that forms would bead together and then drained into a reservoir. Hire me. 🤣
Ever seen that white "web" like stuff growing on leaves / wood chips that were trapped under plastic bags or buckets in your garden? Collect it and toss into your compost pile, it's amazing stuff! Very difficult to propagate once disturbed but it can be done if you have some knowledge in mycology.
This is wonderful method and technology. I love it. Is it ok if I share your videos in my channel? I wish Sri Lankan peoples can learn how to grow vegetables without chemical fertilisers and grow in organic matter with less water.
So it doesn't beat the production of hydroponics, and it only produces 25% of the hydroponic potential. But does it beat the costs of hydroponics? how good will this strategy perform if fertilizers are used? will it compare to the hydroponics production? what percentage of the hydroponic production will it reach? there are too many questions open, I will try to research on the web, but since I have not since this channel updated I will assume it is not as good as it looks.
So a bucket that releases water slowly 🐌 over time ?
Looks like cotton rope, porous and not tight woven for water to trickle out when wet.....
What is the name of this type tomato? From where we can buy this seeds
Tomato Pinky bij Kahan se mil sakte
Taste ?????????
Sir micoryzaha can be multiplication with jaggary water yes / no
May I use micoryzaha in pro tray
