    Little unsolicited advice from a racer of cars and bikes. Stay in the draft longer, commit more in corner entry, don’t chop throttle, you paid for the whole track so use it. Judging by a few of the other cars passing you, I would have done a gear change to help with top speed and reducing shifts. RA is known for its longer runs so having that extra top speed and longer gear ratio would have minimized gear changes. Love the action tho. Keep rocking this shit. Nothing beats or compares to road racing. Been a part of my life since I was a kid.

    Little motor, so you want to keep revs up and gear changes are plenty quick. Car is quite drag limited so yes draft is extremely important but taller gearing will be slower.

  • @KevinSixty6Racing
    @KevinSixty6RacingКүн бұрын

    @@billysmith4278 remember, in racing, you’re fighting for 10ths of a second. Shifts may be quick, but when in a true battle, that shift could be the reason you’re passed on that front stretch. Which happened multiple times. And my suggestion for gear change wasnt for a longer or shorter, but definitely needed it. To increase the chances to run out the current gear before shifting to the next.

    Chris line in lead was trash, he banged the wall, late transition, then almost over rotated in last corner in mid line, saved it with left foot break. In my eyes all points to Field for unchasable lead by chriss.

  • @Wickit96
    @Wickit965 күн бұрын

    Pretty straightforward but, the wall tap at outside zone 1, And outside zone 4 definitely was not clean as he exited the zone 2/3 of the way through on a very weird line, Matt was deeper in the chase on oz4 and had to shallow up to try and keep proximity which was caused by his lead line. His lead was a lot cleaner and fluid as well as deeper in all of the zones too

    I would say I generally can understand calls fairly well even if I don’t agree with them. I also am in agreement that we should go back to 2 drivers meetings. So in my opinion the judges gave Chris 3 errors in his lead and deemed those the fault for Matt’s errors in the chase. It’s the only thing that makes sense for the unanimous decision. Those errors being hitting the wall in oz1 hard enough to where it took angle out and pushed him out of the zone early. The second would be transitioning fairly late as to where he was finishing his transition while already in oz2. The last and most significant is getting on throttle late in oz4 which would cause the chase car to bobble/make contact. This one was fairly straightforward..

    to try to understand FD judging is impossible, battle to battle and driver to driver is different rules different judging criteria, they are either betting on the side and cashing out or are truely bias to there favs/better friends

  • @one2tumble
    @one2tumble8 күн бұрын

    Chris’s OZ1 hit and leaving OZ4 mid zone cost him the win IMO. I think his chase was better than MF but it isn’t as exciting as someone surging

  • @rubberducky704
    @rubberducky7048 күн бұрын

    I love all the competitors and teams in FD, but I stopped watching in 2011. The Judging has been bad for a long time. The system is broken. Drifting is still a unique sport that brings some wild drivers and that is why I watch content like this, but FD is broken. Great video Nate!

    Chris' lead run was horrible, he was playing red light green light the whole time. His lead shook my opinion on whether or not hes a good driver

  • @christianlopez3124
    @christianlopez31248 күн бұрын

    Dude. Should’ve been an OMT at minimum. I would weigh Matt’s bobble heavier than Forsberg’s mistakes added together. Even with Forsberg’s mistakes, he looked fairly consistent whereas Matt’s bobble in OZ4 was a complete eyesore. I want to understand the judges’ POV, but it’s really hard to do that when they can’t explain their decisions thoroughly.
