Are these top rated or just best sellers? I think there is a big difference. I think there should me a most returned rating, which in my opinion would be more helpful than best seller.

I really enjoy your reviews. We are a lot alike with clothes. I critique harshly and have to love everything about an item to keep it. If not, I tend not to wear it and I’ve wasted my money. I wonder if these are best sellers because people just don’t return them or they wear them once and toss. We must be cautious of the fast fashion trend as it is killing our environment. Fashion/ clothing is a huge polluter, so choose wisely and choose well for the long haul. 😀

I modeled once for a sports clothing line. They offer their clothes in different sports teams. I modeled and was photographed in one of each item in a random color then they photoshopped the team colors and logos in. It was crazy. Also they didn’t have me model “my size”. They had me model much larger items and then seriously used binder clips and clothes pins and then positioned me to make it drape the way they wanted in the photo. No wonder we buy things and then it doesn’t look like the picture when we get it and try it on.

Great video! I like the idea of a smaller closet and wearing what I own. I also don't need 247 outfits. I need about a 2 week rotation between work, church and home. Even at that, it means things are only getting worn a few times a month. I realized how little one needs when I started doing a monthly capsule - no buying new, I just swap in and out things at the beginning of every month based on what I've got coming up next few weeks and the weather. That was eye-opening. Lots of things never got worn. I have too many work and church clothes and not enough casual at home clothing. Finally, it made so clear to me how much I have. How I don't need anything else at this time and how much variety can be gained by the introduction of just one or two new tops/dresses/bottoms.

Hit Old Navy at the beginning of the season when sweaters are expensive and have mark down ability. I have two pairs of pants that were originally $59. Better quality. Worth every penny at $29. I have a jersey that I bought for my son second hand twenty years ago. Still in great shape after many many washings. Their quality has diminished over the years. I have learned their tee shirts are crap…thin with a twist. Always a twist.

XXL-> plus sizes can sell out before they go on sale. They don't stock enough of that size. This has been going on forever. There was a dress i wanted, 100% cotton $40. Agree with everything you said. I actuallly have stopped buying jeans at Old Navy because of the massive selection - I just find it too overwhelming and too much effort to have to sift through 50 different styles of jeans to find a pair that are probably not going to last too long. I prefer to pay a little more at a different store for a pair of jeans I know will last for years.

  • @playingthemomgame

Thanks for the tips! Slub knit is very unforgiving & gets weirdly misshapen (like if you pull on it in any way, it stays that way forever) & the material starts feeling scritchy & itchy after it's washed. I avoid it, though every now & then I find myself "giving it another chance." 🥴

It’s a texture. Can be in silks, polyesters, cotton, wool, etc. The fibers are spun in such a way that thread is thick and thin, so when woven or knitted the fabric has a random texture.

I also have tried wearing leggings, a tight camisole top, and a looser button up shirt. You can try the jeans on right over the leggings. It stinks that Goodwill has removed all of their dressing rooms and didn't even put up mirrors for us.
