This is such a good scene, because it’s not just showing the recording of an iconic song, but where Ike’s abuse really got bad. Ike wasn’t on this song at all because he couldn’t do what Phil Spector wanted him to, and he realises Tina doesn’t need him, and it won’t be long before she realises it too. That’s why he becomes more abusive, trying to beat her into staying with him.

⭐️Frank Sinatra stars with ✨Gene Kelly, in with Kelly’s only Academy 🥇Award winning performance, in a visual 👀 and musical 🥁 journey. 💫 Jules Munshin is the third in the trio of sightseers. 🗽New York City takes center stage on the visual front. The Leonard Bernstein music is so memorable and so very, very good. 3️⃣ This was the third and final Sinatra-Kelly pairing for a motion picture. Four months prior to this one was “Take me out to The Ballpark” 💥 “Anchors Away” was their first film together and the fifth top grossing movie of 1945, proving their bank ability. 💰It included a message to the American citizens by way of the opening 🇺🇸 sequence which was clearly designed to make the nation feel good about its naval forces. 📝 Jules Munshin, not a household name, carries his own. Munshin also worked with the tandem of Sinatra and Gene Kelly in “Take Me Out to The Ballgame”-
