  Have line out so when rod upright the line is slightly shorter than rod, then from pointing up a bit, bring rob back slightly to make bait swing back then tilt rod forward so bait swings out infront of you, then bring rod tip back to about 30°as bait swings back down amd around and starts to swing up behind you this is when you cast and if done right the bait will do a complete rotation giving it more power, pendulum cast, I used to cast a single hook paternoster rig with a 4 ounce weight about 100 to 130 yards depending on wind,
