Conversion of a try only has to be in line with where the ball was grounded, Kicker takes it back as far as he or she likes. The further back the better the angle ( unless right in front ) but the more power required.

Hi Eammon. Just back from Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow where the team came home with the Trophy. Wild euphoria all around. Still can barely believe that the Warriors actually won! 😳🙂. To beat the last 3 seasons champions one week after another and travel to Loftus Stadium in Pretoria (one of the revered cathedrals of world rugby) and win in front of the Bulls 52,000 crazy fans is mind-blowing. The Bulls fans have been really generous towards Glasgow which is Awesome. We are all still getting to know each other as the SA teams have just joined 3 years ago but great games like this really help. Roll on next season - can’t wait! 🙂

As you say, the last maul collapsed (but wasn’t illegally taken down) and the ball became unplayable. That ends the maul, but in this case it was also a turnover although that made no difference because time was up. If a team takes the ball into a maul and it gets trapped there without the ball going to ground, it’s called “held up” and the other side gets to put it into the scrum. You can see the referee signal towards Glasgow to indicate that they have the feed.

The women's game has grown exponentially in the last five years; it's more enjoyable in many ways because it is woman-on-woman skill-to-skill and less wrestling. The men's games are super-structured and risk-averse. But as it moves forward, you will see the percentage-game also rise.

Funny because the ref was giving Raiders the calls all game. Also something the highlights didnt show is we were playing alot of young juniors and most of them got a try. Think someone said it was one of youngest sides to play NRL.

Rabbitohs haven't kept Manly scoreless in a game since 1949. Bad turn of phrase by the commentator by saying "the double". He just means that they've now done it twice in 150 something games between the two teams. The last time they played was round 1 in Vegas and Manly won that game. How could you forget Vegas!!!!!😂 Sometimes you seem surprised at kicks in play that aren't great. Usually there's about 3 guys on a team who are good kickers. If it ends up with anyone else, they're just throwing their foot at it and closing their eyes. The number 7, 6, usually 9 and sometimes someone else will be a talented kicker, but if it's anyone else you have to lower your standards and have a laugh. If something good comes of it, it's a miracle and that's sometimes why the commentators will be excited about something that might not look too different to something Sean Johnson or Daly Cherry Evans would do 10 times a game.

Defending 2v1. So I used to play fullback. You're in 2 minds, you can pretend to fall for it and look like your halfway between the free man and the ball carrier but it's a losing game. Anyone that's half competent will just draw you away from the free man and wait till you have committed to tackle before they pass and then it's too late. I've seen fullbacks managed to pull it off but you will see this maybe 1% of the time. The basic move is a draw and pass. You draw the last defender (fullback) so he's forced to commit to tackle and then pass. Or if the fullback is in 2 minds, stuck halfway and hasn't committed, you will see the 'dummy' to free man which fools the fullback for you to score yourself. Haha. So it's basically an impossible situation for defender.

A suggestion is to watch the last 10 minutes of the 2022 game 3 with the coaches reactions from nrl on nine. It really shows the intensity from those matches and the speed (at the end of a tough game btw) and minimal stoppages. It kinda sums all of origin up.
