  This roller coaster originally opened in 1971 at six flags over mid America (St. louis) as one of two mine trains if you watch a pov of both you can see how similar the endings are because they ran side by side

  My grandpa was one of the wells Fargo guards delivering the silver dollars. He and several of my family members ended up working there in the early days. My mother was married to my dad in the original church .

  Im from reeds spring missouri and ive spent so many days at sdc my family loves theplace and my grandparents were at the very first day it opened a year before my mom was born. ❤😊what a place we love it and live few miles away.

  My wife & I spent our honeymoon in Branson in 1973 mostly at Silver Dollar City. We were season pass holders for many years. The first year was $7.95 for a season pass and over the years it has become so expensive we can't afford it anymore. It is still an amazing place to visit and enjoy. Thank you to the Herschend family for creating an amazing place to visit & enjoy.

  Thank You so much for all the information about SDC. I brought my Husband and Mother four times to Branson and each time we went to SDC. They are both gone now and I hope I can make it back some day to have a great time at this wonderful theme park.   Was setting in my easy chair and heard thunder outside. Wasn’t supposed to be, but sure enough it started to rain. So I thought, “OK, rain today”. So I looked at the weather radar on my phone and saw that the rain that was passing through was going to be all for the day. “So”, I thought, “after this is over…… (That’s how I wound up here).
