I’ve had two pairs of steel series arctic 9x die on me. First pair broke exactly the way yours did. Second pair won’t charge due to a problem with the micro USB port.

if i remap these buttons, do they save this within the controller? the 8bitdo Pro 2 lets me save multiple profiles internally so that i can take this controller anywhere, to any device and it will know the remappings always.

Yes. You set up the profiles and can toggle between the 3 you apply to the controller on the controller w the profile button

Not worth it, after ONE nights use, after setting it all up, updating software, charging all night, pressing the little reset button in the back. Still won’t turn on, big waste of money. UI on the screen barely works, app doesn’t work at all. Not worth it.

Great question! Didn’t test this myself but have seen it tested at ~4ms wired and ~8ms w the dongle. Not sure on the envision (need to test myself). I love the edge, which I’ll review soon. But it only has 2 back paddles if that is an issue for you

Bought this controller Feb 28th/24 used it twice. Turned it on this morning would not connect to my xbox at first when it did finally connect it immediately went to the bottom of the screen and would not move back up. So disappointed 289 canadian for this. I should have bought a new elite. And game stop would not take it back because it was opened that's my own fault for shopping at game stop

I can't remember exactly (not recent firmware updates to check how this flows on my end), but if it is asking for both the hub & wired connection to the same PC, it should just allow you to update the firmware even though the controller powers on.

I ended up getting a cheap refurbished surface tablet (for other reasons) and that’s how I was able to update it and that was a couple months ago. However, it still ran fine for me and I only updated the firmware because I could now. Just make sure you have a way to update in case something major is off w/ yours due to firmware.

If it’s not the settings of your console or monitor, it might be the hardware. I would start by checking how things are connected and make sure everything is 4k compatible, starting with the hdmi cable/s. Hope this helps

@@MrAintGoing it is holding up well for me. I’ve heard of QA issues with some but I haven’t really had any (had a slight flicker but that was fixed I think from my settings & firmware updates). This is something I expect w/ any brand and why I suggest getting it from a retailer w a brick and mortar store in your area. Makes it easy to exchange/trial. But I still recommend the m32u.

I don’t think it’ll be a bad choice if you picked it up, but I would recommend checking out some reviews here by some great reviewers to get a better idea on that model specifically

Did you make sure the profile that you set it on was mapped to the controller and that you’re on that profile when your controller is on? I made this mistake the first time I tried.

I've had one for a couple of weeks. Very happy with most of it. I like the Elite controllers because all the buttons and even the sticks are mappable unlike this you can only map to the back button. also I like the paddles better on the Elite controllers much better but this may just take time to adapt to. OBTW I've used superhearing with my turtle beach head sets and wasn't impressed.

Not if you’re ok with the default settings/mapping of the buttons/sticks. Otherwise, you need the app to change those things. App is available via Xbox or PC (windows)

I saw the negative reviews regarding the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. But a year ago I saw the same negative reviews about the Elite Series 2 controller and I chose to roll the dice and purchase it anyway and a year later, it is still the best controller I have used thus far, I have not experienced any stick drift, and I am still on my first elite series 2 controller a year later still going strong . So I used the same logic I used last year and chose to roll the dice and purchase the Stealth Ultra yesterday and it got to my door step in less than 24 hours. The set up was not to bad. The stealth ultra is extremely light, it is a gorgeous controller. I will say that I wish they used a better grade of plastic when making this controller, it is not bad but it does not feel as premium as the elite series 2. I will say that even with some of the plastic not being premium, the controller is still very well built and still feels premium. It feels very comfortable in my hands. I had to put on the thumb caps for the analog sticks because of how small the analog sticks are. I have been playing with the Stealth Ultra for a few hours and so far so good. $200 is quite expensive but the controller is quite nice, I don’t have any regrets. Definitely worth atleast trying the controller out. I have been playing COD MW 3 for a few hours with this controller and I got to say that I am having a ball with this controller, it is so far a very nice controller. The only reason(s) I gave this controller a 4 instead of a 5 is because they used lower grade plastic for certain parts of the controller, the battery is not great, no magnetic analog replacements like the elite seires 2, and small analog sticks. Overall for now, I recommend this controller. Pros: 1. Good looks 2. Nice RGB Lighting 3. Can map controller using the screen on the controller 4. Controller is well built, mostly premium feel 5. Comfortable in my hand 6. Clicky mouse type buttons 7. Built in screen 8. Controller is very light 9. Comes with a nice case Cons: 1. Cost $200 2. Cheapy plastic for some of the controller 3. Battery life is not great 4. Tricky controller set up (manageable) 5. Analog cap replacement instead of magnetic analog stick replacement like elite series 2 6. Small analog stick Verdict: I recommend buying the controller and atleast trying it out for yourself.

@@lbs I agree. Also an update, unfortunately during one of my matches in COD MW3, my controller lost connection with the dongle and my controller froze as a result. Fortunately I had my trusty Elite Series 2 right by my side and I was able to decently finish my match. After the match, I placed the Stealth Ultra back on the charger and it put the controller into charge mode. After that I was able to reestablished connection with the dongle. I was able to use the Stealth Ultra without any further issue. Overall the Stealth Ultra is still a very good controller but just keep a spare controller handy given the real possibility of disconnections during playtimes.

@@lbs Unfortunately that part is true. While I have enjoyed countless hours without disconnect issues. Lately it has been disconnecting more and more during my matches and more over, requesting that it gets connected to a keyboard. Also when it disconnects, it get tricky trying to reconnect. Finally I went back to using my trusty ES2. The stealth ultra is still a very nice controller when it does not disconnect, but the ES2 is still king.

Really great question! Game sound comes through the HDMI connection. However, to get party/lobby chat to your stream while still being able to communicate to party chat through your mic, you will need a chat link or similar set up. I'm currently experimenting in how to set up some alternatives that would allow me to use my stream mic for both game & stream chat. I'll definitely post when I have a good update on this.

@@lbs no, the issue is that when you Raikiri pro runs out of battery you normally turn off the controller then use another controller but not the case with the raikiri you need to complete remove the RF receiver so you can use another xbix controller

Not sure what software you’re using but I’ve had 0 issues with everything I use. There should be no issues though as your stilll sending the max signals/resolutions/etc allowed for the streaming platforms

@@MrAintGoing it is holding up well for me. I’ve heard of QA issues with some but I haven’t really had any (had a slight flicker but that was fixed I think from my settings & firmware updates). This is something I expect w/ any brand and why I suggest getting it from a retailer w a brick and mortar store in your area. Makes it easy to exchange/trial. But I still recommend the m32u.
@@MrAintGoing I considered this 1 first but wanted more screen real estate. I’ve heard nuance differences between this and the 32, but it’s always overall good. I don’t think it’ll be a bad choice if you picked it up, but I would recommend checking out some reviews here by some great reviewers to get a better idea on that model specifically
I'm still not sure if this can record at 4k 60 while letting you play at 4k 120? This is for the ps5 solution.
Have you tried and seen issues on your end? I haven’t experienced this on my end but will try for PS5 and see what happens. Also, elgato now has cards to allow us to do this all natively if that’s an option for you.
This is supposed to be a premium controller I bought one it worked for a week and would not power back on🤬

Did you make sure the profile that you set it on was mapped to the controller and that you’re on that profile when your controller is on? I made this mistake the first time I tried.

I've had one for a couple of weeks. Very happy with most of it. I like the Elite controllers because all the buttons and even the sticks are mappable unlike this you can only map to the back button. also I like the paddles better on the Elite controllers much better but this may just take time to adapt to. OBTW I've used superhearing with my turtle beach head sets and wasn't impressed.

Not if you’re ok with the default settings/mapping of the buttons/sticks. Otherwise, you need the app to change those things. App is available via Xbox or PC (windows)

I saw the negative reviews regarding the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. But a year ago I saw the same negative reviews about the Elite Series 2 controller and I chose to roll the dice and purchase it anyway and a year later, it is still the best controller I have used thus far, I have not experienced any stick drift, and I am still on my first elite series 2 controller a year later still going strong . So I used the same logic I used last year and chose to roll the dice and purchase the Stealth Ultra yesterday and it got to my door step in less than 24 hours. The set up was not to bad. The stealth ultra is extremely light, it is a gorgeous controller. I will say that I wish they used a better grade of plastic when making this controller, it is not bad but it does not feel as premium as the elite series 2. I will say that even with some of the plastic not being premium, the controller is still very well built and still feels premium. It feels very comfortable in my hands. I had to put on the thumb caps for the analog sticks because of how small the analog sticks are. I have been playing with the Stealth Ultra for a few hours and so far so good. $200 is quite expensive but the controller is quite nice, I don’t have any regrets. Definitely worth atleast trying the controller out. I have been playing COD MW 3 for a few hours with this controller and I got to say that I am having a ball with this controller, it is so far a very nice controller. The only reason(s) I gave this controller a 4 instead of a 5 is because they used lower grade plastic for certain parts of the controller, the battery is not great, no magnetic analog replacements like the elite seires 2, and small analog sticks. Overall for now, I recommend this controller. Pros: 1. Good looks 2. Nice RGB Lighting 3. Can map controller using the screen on the controller 4. Controller is well built, mostly premium feel 5. Comfortable in my hand 6. Clicky mouse type buttons 7. Built in screen 8. Controller is very light 9. Comes with a nice case Cons: 1. Cost $200 2. Cheapy plastic for some of the controller 3. Battery life is not great 4. Tricky controller set up (manageable) 5. Analog cap replacement instead of magnetic analog stick replacement like elite series 2 6. Small analog stick Verdict: I recommend buying the controller and atleast trying it out for yourself.
Thank you for sharing your experience and insights! I agree 200 is pricey, but I think they were able to warrant it when you look at others in the space. However, with the ES2 still being top dog and lowering prices, they might set a new price standard for the industry.
@@lbs I agree. Also an update, unfortunately during one of my matches in COD MW3, my controller lost connection with the dongle and my controller froze as a result. Fortunately I had my trusty Elite Series 2 right by my side and I was able to decently finish my match. After the match, I placed the Stealth Ultra back on the charger and it put the controller into charge mode. After that I was able to reestablished connection with the dongle. I was able to use the Stealth Ultra without any further issue. Overall the Stealth Ultra is still a very good controller but just keep a spare controller handy given the real possibility of disconnections during playtimes.

@@lbs Unfortunately that part is true. While I have enjoyed countless hours without disconnect issues. Lately it has been disconnecting more and more during my matches and more over, requesting that it gets connected to a keyboard. Also when it disconnects, it get tricky trying to reconnect. Finally I went back to using my trusty ES2. The stealth ultra is still a very nice controller when it does not disconnect, but the ES2 is still king.

One question I have is do you still have to use the Elgato chat link to get chat sound? Or will this eliminate that problem? I have the Elgato HD60x
Really great question! Game sound comes through the HDMI connection. However, to get party/lobby chat to your stream while still being able to communicate to party chat through your mic, you will need a chat link or similar set up. I'm currently experimenting in how to set up some alternatives that would allow me to use my stream mic for both game & stream chat. I'll definitely post when I have a good update on this.
I recently got spam reported by a narcissistic guy called icy nox84, he reported me 24 times n i now have a ban for 366 days. Im genuinely gonna cry, im only 12 about to turn 13.
The issue with this controller is that you have to remove the dongle to use your standar xbox controller for pc
Are you saying you're trying to use both controllers at the same time? What is that use case?
@@lbs no, the issue is that when you Raikiri pro runs out of battery you normally turn off the controller then use another controller but not the case with the raikiri you need to complete remove the RF receiver so you can use another xbix controller
If you find a way to fix that plus if you want to play local 2 player raikiri wont let you im thinking of returning the controller its a good controller but very limited option

Not sure what software you’re using but I’ve had 0 issues with everything I use. There should be no issues though as your stilll sending the max signals/resolutions/etc allowed for the streaming platforms
