Liberty in North Korea

Liberty in North Korea

Liberty in North Korea is an international NGO working with the North Korean people as they achieve their liberty. LiNK helps North Korean refugees escape through a 3,000-mile secret rescue route and empowers North Koreans who have reached freedom to be changemakers, advocates, and leaders on this issue.

North Korea is more than a dictator and nuclear weapons. It's home to 25 million people. We're changing the way that the world sees this issue to mobilize the level of support that the North Korean people deserve.

    I like this video. It reminds us that the change will be from their own people, by their own determination, to decide their own fate. No other nation should dictate North Koreans what to do with their own democratic process against their oppressive government. Other nations can help, but at the end, it is the people of North Korea who are the real actors of change. Too much contradictions within their own regime now and the NK government is bound to be collapsed by its own weight, by their own incompetence, by their own greed. Freedom and justice will prevail through the hardship and at the end, let the Taegukgi flew over Pyongyang once again!

    It is not the case that most people naturally desire freedom, let alone fight for freedom. They need the ideas of freedom brought into North Korea. That means translating all of Ayn Rand's works into the form of Korean people in the North understand. Consider "Anthem" and "We the Living" in addition to "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Fountainhead."

    You're all so amazing! I'm glad everyone can now live freely. The quote about death still being a daily part of life but at least living life freely really resonated with me. I've always been free and aware of my own death, but it must be a completely different feeling coming into those realizations later in life and from such an extreme of you can die at any time to having more security and being able to plan and think about the future.

    I am so amazed and inspired by these three young ladies, as I am by all of the people that share their stories of transition to freedom in democracies. They have been tested by very stressful personal experiences that few of us can fully appreciate. However, they emerge so confident, which is a testimony to their internal strength of character. Just think how stifled the talents of these three women had been by the Kim dictatorship. North Korea will never be able to improve and develop when its citizens are not allowed to add value to its society. That is what freedom provides, benefits for the individual and. in turn for their country. If these three young people wish to immigrate to the USA, we will welcome them with open arms and be better off for it.

    more like the lost generation , ended up with no real skills because they wasted their time in those markets , i can't blame them because at that time north korea was worse than today , and to clearify , the north korean govermant only allow married women and people who are over 50 years old (the section with the lowes productivity) to trade on those markets , because they know how low productivity those activities are , with no real value been created , despite the jangmadan(black market) , farmers markets are allowed since the 1950s in north korea and the eastern bloc

  • @Commissar_4735
    @Commissar_4735Ай бұрын

    well no , farmers markets existed before the famine in north korea and also in the former USSR , and no people still receive basic food from the government , like how all supermarkets are state owned , and why is the poorest privince (Ryanggang on the chinese border ) in north korea seems to be the one with most of black market activities from wich most defectors come from , if the black market improves people's lives why the poorest place is the one with the most markets and less state control
