    If i had a customer come in id fix it no matter the issue and if i had to rebuild it i wouldnt charge a ridiculous price id only charge the cost of the only parts it actually needed and a good fair price thats cheap enough for the customer but still enough to make money and good quality work

    Is the governor rod behind the control panel? I feel that is where I have a leaking seal and searching videos on how to disassemble the FH721V on a Ferris Pro Cut S series. Thanks,

    The thing is, when you have the hole thing broken down for rebuild, is there anything that can be done to give the engine more performance for light racing?

    Rarely do they fail and they're designed to go full flow if they do ,dirty, clogged lines and no maintenance is the main reason for oil starvation issues, these pumps have been used on snowmobiles for 50 years without issues.

    You saved me from doing something stupid. I was watching this to find a way to enriching the gas. The plugs are near perfect. And I'm changing the whole fuel line to help flow some. Actually she's running great. How come gas lines are connected by such small connections on tank?

  • @mbakken11
    @mbakken11Ай бұрын

    Even the smallest fuel line is much much larger than the carb jets that the fuel will eventually pass through. The line and filter should not be an issue unless they are plugged

    @@mbakken11 now that you said that it makes sense. Thanks it's been years since I've done any real maintenance. I heard the lines degrade. Otherwise it's like the day I got it. Was thinking of checking valve clearance. Don't think it's ever been checked.

    Your video is great. Thank you! Do you have a video about governor assambly adjustment and throttle adjustment. I have Husqvarna YTH 22v46 (twin Briggs). I tried to adjust governor but when I try to started engine would go in to overspeed. Most likely there is something wrong with governor assembly device. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you in advance!

    Hi, thank you for the video. I’ve been a DIYer since I bought my 1979 Z-28 over 40 years ago (still have it). This would be a something I would attempt if it wasn’t mowing season. My mower is a Craftsman PGT9000. Date code on the engine is 2010. It has just under 400 hrs. Model number is 49M77, Type 0791 C1, 28 HP, 810cc I started the mower on Sunday and immediately heard a loud noise from the right cylinder. My guess is a broken connecting rod. I cannot find a 28 HP replacement online after 2 days of searching. The B&S website is no help. You mentioned in the video that engines are available in the $800/900 price range. Can you point to a website or source for available engines? I understand the video is a few years old. Would you know if all the 25-28 HP V-twins have the same mounting bolt patterns? Is there a way to find out the output (crank) shaft length and diameter without disassembly? Sorry for so many questions.

    Hello, I just replaced the carb on a 23 hp v-twin. I didn't disconnect the throttle cable. I installed a after market carb and now when I start the mower it's running full throttle and won't go to idle when I move the handle to slow(turtle). Any suggestions on how I can adjust it?

  • @Alan_Edwards
    @Alan_Edwards2 ай бұрын

    Just the video I was looking for. Over time the low idle speed has been creeping up. I had to replace the magnetos after a mouse ate through the wiring and when I reassembled it all the low idle was even higher - which I guess had to do with the new magnetos and plugs. I noticed the linkage was not hitting the idle stop so I did a little "bending" and made it worse...I lost top end power. I know my way around car engines but not all to familiar with small engines. Now that I know how all this stuff works together I think I can get I back to where it should be. Thanks for taking the time to explain it all brother !!

    I have a serious question. Can this motor safely run as an upright/horizontal shaft motor? I know the oil system can handle it, but is there any reason, other than the carburator angle, that it wouldn't work?

    I absolutely loved this video! I really want to get some practice working on engines and I was thinking of getting one of these to rebuild. Eventually, I want to see if I can build a go-kart and might try and use this engine when I rebuild it in the go-kart build. do you think that this engine would be good for a go-kart? If not would you have any recommendations on engines? I was looking on Facebook market and I found a "lawn tractor" with one of these engines in it. I love engines and I can't wait to get my hands on one! thank you so much for this video I love watching people build engines, and building anything to be honest! So thank you!

    I opened up the case to replace oil sump seal and crank seal. It was leaking bad. Resealed everything and when i tried to adjust governor hex head, it wouldn't turn left or right. The governor is stuck on full throttle when i start it. So i shut it off immediately. Please advise on what to check. Thanks
