51 year old American here, and I got the FT reference as soon as he said ‘learned English from a book’! I was happily laughing right up until you said there is going to be a FT reboot, nooooooooooo!

Michele and Robin are great. They provide such a unique perspective to these shows (and ssshhhh don't tell Michele but I am so jealous that she lives in the UK. Their life experiences bring a great perspective to our favorite guilty pleasure shows. Not only is their commentary on point, but you can tell the love that they have for each other which is so darn sweet. Blighty Day is happily in my "Reality TV Podcast" rotation. Love you guys!

Aussie Bae here. Western Australia is the state name. We also have South Australia. So unique, I know! We were also colonised by the British, & they named the states, so... Robin... ;)

Won't Sean be making good money filming a TV show to help with his finances?? Is that a silver lining?

Thank you! Thank you for your description about astrology. So many people really miss the point & are quick to dismiss it when they know nothing about it. It is closely linked to psychology, a lot of highly regarded astrologers (Liz Greene being one) are also psychologists. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to hear someone not immediately beat it down & have a solid understanding of it!

I was surprised to hear parents speaking as though having their child at home in school holidays is a bad thing.. I get more sad when school holidays are at an end than the children do.. I love having them home.

For context, I'd be interested to know whether you are co-parenting and what your work arrangements are. Childcare is extremely expensive in some areas and challenging to manage at short notice.

The Lebanese people are proud and fancy. Micro aggression isn't a worry.. I think it was exhausting for her to be running around and then go.to lunch with strangers . Obviously the short time frame had a lot.to answer for.

There is almost no bad place to buy clothes in Beirut. Not sure where they went. Even the flea market in Beirut would be something interesting. Even the sushi in the mall is great in Beirut

Hi. LOVE your podcast. One thing.. American exceptionalism actually refers to the fact..yes fact..that America was founded on the premise that the rights come from the Creator. That is unique amongst all other countries. So I don't disagree about the Americans on the show frequently behaving in a certain way... but..you have to call it something else besides American exceptionalism. Just sharing some truth for your information. Not angry about it.

@@blightydayfiance4367 more similar than different- but a good explanation for the texture and flavor of one to describe the other. Both are equally delicious.

They are similar but slightly different. A popover typically uses butter as the source of fat while a popover uses fats leftover from a roast so it has more of a savory flavor. I love them both!
