    I love how shamelessly Tendi lies about everything Orion-related. You just know that she HAS flayed somebody before. This is why she was so obsessed with being liked on the Cerritos. Because she is so *feared* among her own people.

    I think I formulate a cocktail recipe for the Orion Hurricane. 3oz/45ml Absinthe, 1oz/15ml Midori melon liqueur, 1oz/15ml creme dé menthe (better use Get 27) and stir those three ingredients, and then few dashes of creme dé violette

    In books Geralt says he thought thousands of times what mistake he did when fought Vilgefortz. And he couldn't possibly find any because there was none. Thats how powerful Vilgefortz was.

    Geralt stated that he had made no mistakes during that fight, Vilgefortz was able to block his attacks from impossible angles, 4 times he should have killed him, 4 times he failed, just goes to show how much of a monster Vilgefortz was

    I'm amazed how they cast the characters in Strange New Worlds to perfection. People usually say some characters can never be recast but I think they pulled it off and let these characters live on in new incarnations

    To be fair, absoloutly no one can force you to get promoted, but you can never ever ask to advance forward either. So, it is a double edged sword there. The choice to hold yourself back, but you have to earn your way forward.

    Ok, I have to admit that this is cool. I am confused by the image of Vilgefortz, who looks like an Armenian monk and Geralt’s sword, which, given his height and build, is like a toothpick, but the scene is good. I'm glad that you can watch it separately without wasting time on the rest of the series

    *sigh* One of these days the ST writers will remember that NO-ONE FROM EITHER SIDE is allowed to enter the Neutral Zone. Including the Romulans. But the sheer number of times the Romulans are presented as being inside the Neutral Zone and no-one ever seems to care or question it...

    And then Vilgefortz pulls out a magical Emerald that fell from the sky many years ago. Not knowing what power it holds, he instinctively points it at Geralt, surprised to see The Witcher withering in extreme pain. I don't know what happened just now, I blanked out and typed that.

  • @IS6A6E
    @IS6A6E20 күн бұрын

    You know, with Vilgefortz's staff, he basically has no openings Geralt can attack, since he's able to teleport it exactly where he needs to block the attacks. This is quite possibly my favorite 1v1 fight in fantasy, despite the hero losing.

  • @mrkiky
    @mrkiky15 күн бұрын

    Yea that's a pretty sick mechanic, but I think he can still only teleport it into his hand, so if Geralt was used to fighting against this ability, he might be able to find openings anyway.

    I seriously wonder why is it so hard to make fights with swords that are made of literal lights so hard.Like Half of your work is already there in the concept.They are SWORDS THAT GLOW. Like come on just rip off just samurai movies but atleast make them cool (Also Im not a star wars fan so I don't know how these lightsabers are made so don't try to educate me)

    The fight is overchoreographed and kinda sucks ass. If they didn't want to follow the book's version of Geralt v. Vilgefortz, they should've made this more grounded, instead of a ballet. Feels like both of them don't aim for the vitals, but for the opponent's weapon instead. Also, against a staff, Geralt should've used mainly stabs, as well as go for Vilgefortz's hands.
