Love this longform style review that includes USE of the camera. Dude, thank you!!
@@codythep thanks for watching! Let me know if you want to know more. I will be testing more out soon
@@PaulFeinberg thanks for the invitation of requests. would love to see more on the Sirui Sniper lenses! I’m recommending starter kits to students of my own and I’ve already sent him a link for those. Now I have to talk myself OUT of buying them 😂
@@codythep I have reached out to my contact at Sirui to try and get those lenses to go into detail. The 75mm is stunning!
Very cool camera, love the small form factor. Price is nice too 👍 Don't have a use-case for it yet, but who knows. And yeah, I've had some wedding ceremonies that have gone close to an hour shot at 4k 60. I usually shoot everything at 4k 60 so I can slow stuff down in the highlight real in post. But yeah to your point, I use the FX3 and FX30 for those shots.
@@solomonericfilms I am familiar with your setup lol 😂 At least the next time I shoot with you I should be pretty familiar with your fx30 sensor

PRO TIP: you can add a very, very small (less than a drop to the 10ml fluid tank) of essential oil to your fog/smoke to make it more pleasing. I like Jasmine or Cinnamon sent myself. A lot of people use vanilla which becomes nauseating.
You need to work on your language and the words you choose since the use of specific terms is the key to working with others and using specific terminology to get the effect(s) you want. So smoke, haze and fog are all different effects with specific terms. There is no effect using particulate called “Ice.” Do not use the terms FOG and SMOKE interchangeably as they are not the same and using them as such is a complete lack of effect and substance knowledge. Smoke rises and diffuses quickly while fog falls and spreads acting much more like water. The look is quite different too and confusing the terms is like saying right when you mean left. Being able to talk credibly and accurately about the effect you want see enhances your ability to be taken seriously. Smoke/fog juice is basically glycol and glycerin and distilled water as such it is a positively charged ion and is attracted to anything negatively charged like glass and metal like audio and video connectors. So when you use smoke/fog juice you need to wrap anything you actually care about in cling film like Sara wrap™ and use a UV or clear filter on your lens. The glycerin/glycol film will build up and needs to be cleaned with denatured alcohol or a good glass cleaner.
It's absolutely insane to me y'all shoot real estate below 16-18mm that looks absolutely ridiculous. Anything below 20mm is distorting reality. I basically never go below 22mm unless it's a bathroom or miniscule room.
@@RubenDelight I try not to shoot below 18mm if I can but those agents love the wide perspective. They don’t see the distortion like us photographers do. Normal people don’t care
@@PaulFeinberg I find it pretty interesting that it’s so prevalent in the US and Canada. Here in NL most of the real estate shots are at minimum 20. The home owners I visit very frequently talk about how they hate the ultra wide shots that distort the space though! A lot of the real estate agencies also tend to care a bit more here I feel like but it could be just anecdotal bias.
@@RubenDelight every place is different for sure.
I think you use the maximum input and the audio cracked. You have a selector of 3 differents audio input levels, you should use the lower. The same happened with the hollyland m2, you don't think the audio is creacked but it is if you use the louder.
@@yomacarvalmusic I was on the lowest of three levels but still seemed high to me. But maybe I had a faulty unit or something
@@PaulFeinberg Could be, thanks for your review :)
One of these brands need to come out with one where the receiver is also a boom mic
@@dramaversy6569 comica has a wireless boom….but the DJI mic would make a good wireless boom. Rode Videomic Go II or Videomic NTG into DJI mic 2 and boom!
That Pocket 3 is nice. The compactness of the camera for travel is pretty alluring, but that iPhone 15 Pro video is beautiful when you had it next to the Pocket 3, not sure If it was the filter or the video itself, but the pocket 3 video seemed flat. Did you shoot it in D-Log? The in and out shots between the iPhone, Pocket 3, and the A7S3 were awesome too 👍 Made it easy to see the video quality differences.
@@solomonericfilms ya I didn’t grade D-LOG as well as a7siii and phone didn’t shoot in log which phone could have looked even better presumably
Thanks for the review Paul, could I ask regarding the Center Column can the pole part be removed or shortened? I do allot of low to the ground shots for nightscape photography and that pole length would get in the way.
@@The_Gunslinger yes both tripods the center column can be removed and even flipped for lower shots.
@@PaulFeinberg Thank you Paul.
12mm and 14mm is a world of difference. 16mm is a galaxy difference.

I have a Fulaim X5 which I think sounds a bit better. Like my X5 your X3 sounded better held in front of your mouth. Thanks. The first review I've seen!
@@WillNewcomb X5 is for sure better. I like the gain control on the X5…..this X3 peaks easily if the device you plug into doesn’t have its own control for input. Thanks for watching!
Paul, for some reason the audio sounds like it’s be run through Adobe Podcast enhancement, weird frequency shifts like auto tune. Was any post processing done ? Maybe I just need more Coffee or new speakers 😊
@@WORTHITORNOT audio was trash because the system is super hot even on the lowest setting. Didn’t have the system anymore to try and re-record it better. Went a little overboard on EQ. Your ears are not super crazy
I've been using the DJI Pocket's since the OG. I also have the 2. I use them constantly despite my main camera being a Blackmagic 6k Cinema Camera. I can throw the DJI Pockets into my bicycle frame bag and ride downtown to get b-roll for the news (as a stringer). Easy to use. Super stable. I plan on getting the 3 in a few, but, since I have the 1 and 2 already, I think I'm gonna get a 360 cam to add to my kit first.
I have been wanting to add a 360 as well…but just don’t know how often I would want to shoot and then take the time to frame it up later. Seems very cool though! Best of luck!
The first comparaison shots are quite obvious. The real competition is against the iPhone. The ND filter looks wierd tho.
Probably my color grade not the ND 😂
What lav mic can you recommend for action 4? For cycling videos on an ebike in the city or nature. Looking for a clear voice and some ambient souonds. Recording with two mics possible?
Honestly i would get the DJI Mic 2 since it links up wirelessly without having to connect anything. $99 just get one mic….i made this video before DJI mic 2 was around
Congratulations again Dude!
Thanks bud! Appreciate the support!
Does the Peak Design plate fits on the Ulanzi?
If you get the non-F38 quick release plate and just get the arca version then yes. Or Ulanzi sells a F38/Peak Design plate that works with both. amzn.to/45KOOxB
That's pretty slick man! May have to consider that when I next upgrade
Fun little system.
Hey thanks for this! I'm pretty much sold. I already have the 16-35 2.8 tho. It tends to distort. Is there less distortion with a prime 12mm lens? It's a 1/3 of the price and I'm just getting started, but I'm thinking this one might be worth the investment. Would I be better off just getting the 12-24? It sounds like that's all I would need. I also have a 24-70 and 70-200. Thank you! Great vid.
I have the 16-35 GM for my KZread channel and I still only use the 12-24mm f4 for all real estate photography. Hands down the best I have tried with no swapping lenses. If it died today I would be buying another one. Well worth the investment for my real estate photography. I only use this lens for real estate pretty much. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Thanks! Lots of hard work! Thanks for the support!
Nice job, complete review! Thanks for that Paul
Thanks you! Thanks for watching
Why don't YOU let US know which one you think sounded better? That's the entire reason I'm watching a video like this.
I mean I just prefer to test the products and let the viewer decide on which one is better. Telling you what I think could give a bias or make someone feel like I am paid by a brand to tell you one way over the other…….if I didn’t have one or the other the M1 sounds good enough and I like its size. The B1M sounds better but not so much of a difference to not get the new features of the M1 when buying one for the first time. If you already have a B1M or B10….no need to upgrade
Dont you find the 18L to close with the 25L?
Super close honestly. I have both. I use the luma for everyday carry and 25L for travel or freelance work. I would say most people could get away with Luma. But I do still love the 25L
@@PaulFeinberg My thoughts exactly. Thanks
Thanks new sub…from the dobo days!!!
Wow Dobo days!!! Good guy!
Thanks for the video. M1's super directional NC sounds really bad! Weird because most other modes sounded pretty good!
B1M for sure sounds better. No problem!
I currently am doing RE photography and using a 16-35mm GM II with an A7IV. I purchased this 12-24 which helps A LOT in tight spaces. Deciding if it’s worth keeping the 16-35 or picking up a 14mm GM for video, and using the 12-24 f4 for all my RE photography. Any advice would be appreciated!
Personally for video I find that 16-35mm works and I like having that option for tight shots at 35mm. Plus the 16-35mm is my daily driver for on the go KZread content.
@@PaulFeinberg Drives me crazy that there are so many options! lol Not sure it makes sense to keep the 12-24 and 16-35..
@@mattym2210 so many options for sure….if you don’t think having both works for you then sure pick the best for you and sell the other
Thank you! That was really helpful for a newbie like me.
No problem I am working on a part two for this video where I go in a detail of what the different shutter speeds do in both daylight and nighttime
Great video! Which one are using these days? Is the shock mount on the B1M still bothersome?
I am still rocking the B1M because I didn't feel the upgrade for me was worth it. I love the size of the M1 and because it is smaller there is like no rattle while vlogging with that design. I do like the sound of the B1M better, has more bass (is bigger and has more capsules). If I was buying a new one today I would just buy the M1. That M1 was Kyle Watts mic so I never ended up purchasing it. I had a buyer for my b1m, but decided not to upgrade and spend the money.
Well done my friend! I think we should see more film photography from you :)
I would be sharing more if I did t leave the film canister at home today!!!! Got to do a night shots POV at Disney

The Ulanzi website says the F38 Zero is 15.74 inches. Are you sure 16.7 is right?
Ya but then you have the tripod head
Great review. By the way, i am travel photographer and which one should i buy while in public place, or water falls etc. ?any advice please
Honestly I would do M1 (waterfalls would be cool with that Stereo recording mode) Plus its smaller so in theory better for travel. The B1M sounds slightly better but I would still purchase the M1 if I had nothing at all. Since I have the B1M, I ended up just keeping that and not upgrading.
Sorry but I have tried this and another tutorial and only a few of my apps are transferring from my iPhone 8 to the 15. No one addresses if this "easy" transfer does not work. Help needed!
That is odd....After I did this everything was on my new phone. Another thing you can try is just logging back into your App Store and just redownloading everything. Your iCloud account might not have application backup turned on. (since it does take up more data)
swappie.com/us/blog/3-ways-to-transfer-data-from-an-old-iphone-to-a-new-iphone/#:~:text=Once%20you%20have%20backed%20up,for%20the%20backup%20to%20finish. Those are three ways to do it. The top one is this video.
After watching other videos the Hollyland Lark M2 sounds just as good but with fewer facilities.
Stay tuned…..there is something new coming from Fulaim….it might look so similar to M2 lol 😂
Actually if you watch my newest video and go to the wireless mic section you can actually see what I am talking about lol 😂
@@PaulFeinberg Wow! I've not heard of the X3 before. I'll keep my eyes open for reviews. But I'm still very happy with my X5. Blessings.

Well…as many as I could or as many as I needed lol 😂
Does the fulaim drains the Action 4 battery?
No it has its own internal battery.
Awesome job Paul. Would love to know how much you charge? Are you shooting Raw or jpg?
I am about to adjust my pricing again....I started out a little low, but I am about to move to a per picture package pricing vs per sqft size packaging. pfmedia.square.site/ Always RAW 9 bracket shots blended.
Stupid question.. could i use these as karaoke mic when im not recording videos? Like trs into a console amp?
Don't see why not....Couldn't say if they would sound better than a cheap SM58 or anything, but they would work....My friend even makes handles that will work with the mics. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKqAsrGNZ7WYcrA.htmlsi=oZ1De5OeKtplYwH7
Random phone equipment…. “No big deal”. Back in the days I would have charged for extra work 😂😂
Got to love adobe generative fill….wow it makes my life so easy
Awesome perspective. Would like to see your editing process after the pictures have been taken! Thanks for the video!
Honestly right now with working Full-Time.....I shoot and send the photos to my editor overseas. I pay .80 per photo to edit, then I just remove items and just do basic touch ups to my liking (don't have to do much if any on most photos). Works great for me because I got to bed wake up and they are done and I can provide 24 hour turn around or less. But I should do some editing for these for a video sometime for sure! Thanks so much bud!!
I've always wondered how this all goes. I just lost my job so maybe I can try a few of these. Thanks for sharing
Bummer man! Hopefully you can find what you’re going to do next soon! Glad I could help!
@@PaulFeinberg all good! I've got a plan in place ;) Time to get to work!! Thank you.
Will these record to two separate files, or are they baked in since they share one receiver?
so each mic records internally separately so that alone would have separate files. The main audio records one to the left and one to the right channel of the audio. So in theory you should also be able to split the Stereo recording and then get each mono signal. But the easiest way would be to just record internally to the mic and pull the audio off like a USB stick.
