He is using vim, it's a text editor that is different from the one inside of the software, so he can customize it

What synths are you using in Ableton for the mids section? I've been just getting started and trying to piece together that sound, and it's pretty bewildering trying to match up the sound in my head with how to make it...

yo what is that utils file you are using? I've never seen anyone make patterns like that. What are you doing to make this happen?

utils file is here: github.com/05gash/livecoding. It's really just a midi interface which is triggering drum samples + synths in Ableton. But it could trigger anything! a sampler or a HW synth if you wanted :)
