    I can’t get all of those ingredients so I eat it this way: brown rice on the bottom, then natto but no sauces (can’t have sodium or sugar). A couple of extra unique points about grocery shopping in Japan itself rather than the goods available. You almost always do your own bagging in a separate bagging area towards the exits after paying. This makes lines at the register go a lot faster. Also a lot of people (myself included) get around the neighborhood by bike, and one thing I really like about my local supermarket is that they stock various sizes of the cardboard boxes their deliveries arrive in and instead of disposing of them out back, place the small/medium sized boxes in the bagging area and make them freely available for customers to take and put their groceries in to strap to a rear rack, stuff into a front basket, or even stuff into the trunk of a car. A lot of markets don't do this, but I'm glad mine does.

  • @bigjapan2020
    @bigjapan20206 ай бұрын

    Thank you for comment! Yes,Exactly! Even though it looks like there is a very long line to payment, in reality there is not that long of a wait. Also, the people working in Japanese supermarkets are very pleasant to work with, as they do their jobs quickly and carefully put the items in your basket!
