    Great little tutorial! Was fast, but the process of scrubbing back and forth on the timelines only set the ideas in my mind better. thanks. Look forward to more! Need to learn this program quick. Coming from Rhino.

    As of 6/1/2024 Fusion 360 UI no longer matches this tutorial. Functionality of what is being discussed is either no longer available or hidden elsewhere and cannot be located with ease. If you are new to F360 and hoped this 30-day series would get you up to speed--LOOK ELSEWHERE. This tutorial is exceedingly frustrating because it simply does not match current F360 interface. :(

    When I do some of the operations from the video my Fusion 360 distorts my sketch horribly. Some of the lines from the top end up way down at like -100 on the y axis.

    It looks like it was due to a small change that was made in the video that wasn't mentioned before applying the second midpoint constraint.

    im sure people love fusion, but after 10 videos, im sick of it being overly complicated.. couldnt get the the f-in thing to lock, every project has been met with issues.. when i can complete it in tinkercad in seconds!! f-in sick!!

    Loved all his other tutorials, yet all I can say about this one is its absolute garbage. I've never struggled with a 3d software before this video, half the time when I do something the 3d model doesn't follow the same path as his. Personally this video is going to be skipped and forgotten about!

    It kept flipping the small side underneath the bottom when I tried to add the height constraint on the big side. I ended up adding another line constrained perpendicular to the small side before adding a constraint to the big side and this stopped it. Not sure why, I won't speculate.

    This is the best beginning 360 tutorial I have found so far. I have a lot of experience in 2D CAD and was getting very frustrated trying to figure out the flow in 360. A bracket I was trying to design which would have taken 30 seconds in 2D cad took an hour. After watching this video I have a much better handle on how the tools work and look forward to the rest of the series.

    Would be nice to elaborate what does mean "edit your sketch... until the shell command works" at 10:40. I'm getting this error and I have no idea what is wrong with my sketch. Thanks.

    I could not get the final grip ring to be flush with the internal edge. I redid the entire thing and still had this happen. I notice you didn't say that you selected the inner surface along with the offset profile, although you did do it onscreen. I selected both and this fixed it.

    Hi there, at 1:32, when you select the origin as the second component for the joint, it is not working at for me. It isn't letting me select the origin. I have made sure the phone component is active and that it is ungrounded from the parent. Any ideas?

    When I download the file from your description, and then go to fusion to open the file it does not appear in my files. I have tried other iphone models but they don't work well with this lesson.

    The revolute animation played for me, but when I tried to rotate as described at 10:52, it wouldn't budge. You now have to right click on the top box component and select "unground from parent"

    At 6:00 when it was time for the rubber part surface offset, it didn't work and gave an error, but I saw that my sketch was not defined and was with the pencil, I went back down the timeline and saw a weird line that I don't remember putting there, erased it and added sketch dimensions again and the red lock appeared and it all worked out.

  • @NoCellPhone-uu3jt
    @NoCellPhone-uu3jt3 күн бұрын

    Actually that wasn't even the problem, that line was weird but the real problem was that when copying the video, when making the .5 mm fillets I had selected to edit the surface body instead of Body2, which explains why when I applied the fillets there were now 11 bodies instead of 10 like in the video. SO all I did was just click on the body2 while editing and hide body1 with the eye icon and it was all fine.

    Your final comments asking whether I like the longer format. My answer is that "no, I don't like the longer format but unfortunately for my 66 y.o. brain I need this format so it will stick better. I realize this is 5 years old but a friend stated "Watch PDO building a bird house to get better perspectives of how to use components." He was right. You are a master with your timing, speech quality, the explanations. Enjoy and learn from every one of your videos, old and new.

    Really have appreciated your videos. :) QQ... I don't have a sketch tab/dropdown, and right click does not bring up the option to insert text. I realize this video is a few years old, so maybe a different path to get there in current revs, or perhaps the option is not available on the personal version?
