THANK YOU! I've been looking all over KZread for tutorials on a bead I saw on Pinterest! I didn't even know what to call it, so now I'm getting excited to go back to the table and try this out!

Can a polymer clay mosaic be built on to a wood substrate (indoor use only)? Also can a polymer clay mosaic be laid out onto the fiberglass mesh that is used for regular mosaics? I am wanting to do house numbers. What should I use for the adhesive? I know weldbond wouldn’t be good, nor apoxie sculpt. Is there something that can be used with polymer clay & hold up outside?

I k ow this is a very old video. But I have been searching polymer clay mosaics for at least a year. This is the 1st time your video has come up. Thank you so much for making this video. I would like to make some jewelry pieces using this technique. But, what would your thoughts be on making some outdoor pieces out of polymer clay?

Love this and also love the dental tool you are using! Is that a clay handle you made for it? Can you share the name of the dental tool? I would love to have one when I work with my clay. So helpful! Thank you!

Oh my goodness! I was starting my sanding at 150 grit! And I didn't know to change the water. Obvious to me now but I didn't know. No wonder my pieces were always a dull shine at best! Thanks for the tutorial!

I have actually found from my experience that using a bit of bake & bond and baking the clay directly on the barrette with a small strip of clay across the middle of the back under the flex part for securing it works really well. Love the design btw!

I missed how you attached the actual barrette, but I imagine you glued it...what sort of glue did you use?

Since I don't have an extruded nor I have I ever used one I would've liked to see how it looked being pushed through the extruded and then once it was sliced, is there a 2nd video that shows this? Also I've heard some other styles of clay extrudes can be very difficult to extrude the clay and just plain frustrating to work with altogether, do you mind sharing your opinion and overall thoughts regarding this particular extruder? I'm considering purchasing one but haven't simply because I'm not sure which brand/style I should get. I'm guessing this style might be easier than the conventional "push" handle but hearing the opinion of someone who has used it quite a bit would be very helpful. Lastly would the stainless steel version make a bunch of difference in how the device performs or is more to keep it from wearing out faster? Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and of course for the demo with the hints & tricks!

This is cool, you could actually take a paint brush and paint a design on baked clay and use it like you would actual paint. I am going to have to try this with my liquid clay.

IrresistibleAshGirl, What grit of sandpaper did you use, and did you wet the paper and the clay while you were doing it? When I first sanded, I got the white streaks too, and it's because my sandpaper was too coarse, and I was doing it dry. I ended up putting a glaze over that piece, and it took the white out of the streaks, though you can still see that the clay is scratched.

Can you PLEASE stop putting that annoying add every 20 sconds on the bottom of the video... I stopped watching after seeing it 3 times in a minute... I actually don't want to go to your website since the banner is so annoying. Once at the beginning and once at the end should suffice....
