  It’s a man who finds his wife’s diary & he thinks the love she’s talking about is about him & she just doesn’t show it & even when he showed her she blew it off & he is so blind he doesn’t want to believe it isn’t about him but he then realizes at the end the love she expresses about someone else & not him. Then he lets her go to find the life she wants with the other man. It’s an old song & I remember listening to it as a teenager on AM radio

  I heard this song when it first came out in 1972. I heard the message and when it comes to love I’ve always been more concerned with the hopes and desires of my partner. How, moving it is to free another’s heart! No selfishness, ego, or jealousy! That’s how love rolls, loved ones.
