Been using this for 3 years now. I don't know how the other kinetic wood splitters from other brands are made regarding the traveling of the ram but this one is a bit weak regarding this. The roller supporting the ram can go sideways from time to time and needs to be put in place using pliers. It's as if it can't fully withstand the speed and pressure being applied. So I grease the path where the roller rolls from time to time to make it easier to go back and forth. Apart from that, and using a homemade rack that puts it at a good working height, it processes logs from corded wood real fast.

You can make a rack with a ramp using 2' x 4'. That's what I did. Makes splitting cords of wood much easier and much faster.

Reminds me when I was a kid. Remember my mom came in on me and couple buds playing Nintendo 64 and she said it was a nice day why we arnt you outside playing today. And I took it literally and had a bright idea to run a extension cord out to the back porch so we could continue to play outside 😂 remember the nice old lady that lived next door came outside and was like are you guys actually watching tv outside. We’re like yup! She goes well… atleast it’s a nice day for it lol. Those old tv’s back in the 90’s weren’t very fun to move around remember it taking all 3 of us working together to get it out there and bring it back in after 😅

I just finished splitting 3 cords with it. It's incredibly fast compared to a hydraulic. For me that's a good thing but sometimes wood does shoot out at dangerous speed. Definitely recommend eye protection. Its very quiet running and only blew the fuse once on 3 cords which is a massive improvement from my neighbours electric hydraulic which blew the fuse endlessly so I had to plug it into a generator to run it. The flywheel energy charge up is a great concept. The design is simple and I really like the concept. The build quality feels a little cheap but this is a cheap splitter so you get what you pay for. I have a feeling the clutch is not going to last too long since the metal looks a little soft for the task. The return spring on the bottom is weak and cheap, its not a huge deal and easy enough to replace if you wanted too. More problematic is the small spring that lifts the ram off the flywheel gear. This little spring is the only thing that lifts up the ram and if it fails then there's problems. We had it get twisted twice during the 3 cords. It was simple to twist back with some vice grips but I worry about its longevity. I'm not a mechanical engineer but it seems like it would be better if there was an additional spring behind the clutch end to lift the ram up when the clutch is raised. A little redundancy would be nice there. If you have two people for operation you'll be amazed at how fast this thing can go. It takes a little time to figure out how to maximize the energy from the flywheel. You dont want to rely on the motor/belts directly. If you hit a knot you just back off quickly, recharge the flywheel and ram again.

This thing does not work well. Says it's 10 ton but when it was having trouble splitting a piece of wood I could put it on my 6 ton hydraulic from Canadian Tire and it split it no problem. The return spring is not strong enough to pull it back once the track has some dirt and wood chips in it.

Good question; all I can say is that the TV was used on the power station a handful of times and the TV still works fine. However, if the safety of sensitive electronics is a concern probably best not to run them off the power station

Pretty fair, the ToughCase Music System has 4 speakers and a Sub so it handled the audio decently; a dock isn't the best place to showcase the sound from a movie but that being said the dialogue was crisp and music/sound effects had some punch from the bass
