I surprised how familiar this guy is with table tennis and English terms but uses the name 'shakehold' grip. It's a *shakehand* grip. Because you are gripping the bat the same way as when you shake *hands* with someone. It's called the "penhold" grip, correct; because it's much the same way that you *hold* a pen. I practised against Rick Seemiller's serve back in the 70. He had the same grip as his brother's. It was a strong and fast wristy windshield-wiper action and I could not read 5 of his serves in a row, even by accident.

when i play against short pips, I generally loop more with less drive. almost as if the ball has small amount of backspin

I had the pleasure of being coached by Dan Seemiller on two occasions back in the early 90s alongside my dad and our close family friend. Those camp experiences I will always treasure.

The only reason you should pimples is when you completely lose hope on one of your sides to learn top spin , also do that without celebration because you failed yourself, coach and your family

  • 20 күн бұрын

@@chebkhaled1985 Interesting answer. Are pimple players less talented? We think that Filus, Joo Se Hyuk, Gionis, Batra, Bergström, Hashimoto, Gaponova, Ni Xialian, Chen Weixing, He Zhi Wen, Falck and many, MANY more world class players are quite talented and successfull and we’re convinced that their coaches and family are proud of them. If you find pimples hard to play against, we have videos regarding this, please take a look and don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe 🏓👍

My favourite female player is Park Mi Young from Korea. I particularly admire players who specialize in defensive play, like legendary Jacques Secretin. They are rare, they are like preciios gems. And Park Mi Young - to me - has everything it takes. She is a genius of defensive play, her chops "defy" the laws of physics, watching her play is like watching magic. She is my role model, as I am a female and a defensive player, too.
