I think the Kawasaki is a great bike however i would love to own a RC30 Honda because unarguably they are evidently the best 750 ever.
That’s true I love the RC30
Helix
I’m still using it 😎
I've had my '02 since new. I sometimes think about getting a new bike, but then I realize nothing out there can can match the calm handling, power, and comfort of my ST1100. I need to take it down a half mile of soft rutted forest road to get to my camper, but it can even handle that after I figured it out.
Nothing the Pan won’t do .
bought my ST 1100 three years ago with 75'000km for a whopping 1000 Swiss Francs and invested about the same amount to get it roadworthy (clogged carbs etc...) and have a trailer clutch. Never regretted it. Yes, she is heavy but once you learn not to stop her on a descending slope (you will never get her out of there alone!). On the road and 10'000km later it's just pure fun. And a lot of it.
The Pan always puts a smile on your face .
For me its the best sounding, most realistic in feel and sound. I can put up with a steeper learning curve to get it. I had a Helix Floor for a few days and returned it. Put a lot of work in to it and it sounded like shit.
This guy is hilarious and informative lol
Thanks dude
Great video sir. Really helped me understand a better way to set some of the eq by going low and moving higher sill sounds good to my ears. Funny how the simple things just elude us. I got a question for ya. Does Helix have a version of the Digitech Drop Pedal? So i can be in standard tuning ( E ) but engage that and bring myself to E flat for those old 80's Hair Band tones. They seem to love using 1/2 step down lol. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am trying to gather as much as i can so I can decide what to get when my 54BD comes very soon 😇
Yes it has a pitch section that will do that , it’s called simple pitch . Works great
I've seen one in mint condition but the wiring has burnt in places
Could be an easy fix
The tokico 6 pots are really.good however you will find at least 4 pots on each calliper will be siezed
These weren’t seized , just not very good .
Great video dude. After 12 years of zzr 1400, and 62 years old geezer, I decided to get gtr 1400, and absolutely love it. Great review. Keep them coming.👌
Cheers mate and thanks for watching
I own gen 3 09 zx10r. Your spot on. Couldnt have said it better
Cheers dude
I'm 63, I still ride my 2000 st1100 and wouldn't change it for a 1300. I love my bike and if this one has to go I try to get another one, still st1100.
Yeah the 1100 is way better than the 1300 .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist only problem, I'm searching for a solution, I need a rear spring and schockbreaker that can hold a 50 kg more weight than the original and I can't find something what to take
Great review. Thanks!
No problem thanks for watching!
I on number 2 st1300 now.I tried a k1600gt with reverse gear because of a bad knee. Couldn't wait to get rid of it and back to a pan again. Honda ,make a new one ,ill buy one.
Those K1600 are huge !
I am in South Africa and I own a 2007 ZX14 (in the UK: ZZR1400). My bike has no extra electronics, including no ASB. I believe that, for ME, this is the best bike on the road. It has the presence, it has the excitement, it has the control and, most of all, it calls for a rider (rather than dictate to the rider what to do). It is not a beginners' bike. My bike is all the bike I need. I admit that I am not a rider who will be able to ride my bike to its full capabilities. I do not send this message recommending anyone to a ZX14, or Kawasaki, or anything else. But this is my bike. There may be "better" bikes, but I will stand by my bike. This bike is very heavy, heavy on tyres, heavy on fuel, but it is my bike and I can't see myself ever on any other bike. I have ridden this bike on all conditions of tarmac, in all weathers and in all traffic. I have ridden my bike for days at a time. It delivers each time. I am confident on this bike. I am a biker and my kit suits my lifestyle. I respect anyone else who has the same bond with their bike. For the record - I do the zip thing, each trip.
Yeah they’re amazing bikes
NIce Alabama/John Wayne accent there, lol You must practice that
Most of my friends are American so I get a supply of great accents thrown at me all the time 😂
Will be perfect on full stereo with doble tracking
Cool
That is a mono preset?

Hi! Did you find that the carpark was nearly full at this time or was it relatively empty?
We booked a space so all was good and it wasn’t full at all .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist Ah I see! Was that through a website?
@turnipgirl11 yeah we just googled the car park and it was booked from there . Watkin path car parks
@@JonnyLeeguitarist thank you :)
@turnipgirl11 no problem let me know how you get on with the walk .
Like it!
Thank you! Cheers!
Ive been going back and forth with the hi cut since the cab update. At first I was setting it to 7-8k like I did before the update. When the update came out I saw so many people saying they stopped cutting so I started doing that. But recently I have once again been cutting down to somewhere around 7k. It 100% makes it sound more realistic and natural sounding.
Yeah you have to do a cut . To my ears anyway .
I blame you jonny for me buying a gtr1400 lol,, admittedly I was already looking at them before I made the jump from my cbr1100 blackbird, ive still got the bird as well for now, great review as usual.
Ha haa ! Sorry dude 😂
@@JonnyLeeguitarist all good mate, i did get it on a good deal, a shop got it in as part ex, needed to much work for them to sort out, so me being ex bike mechanic thought, i will take a chance, all it needed was a new gear position switch and a good service, new tyres.
@@cbrblade2705 winner! That’s awesome mate
Why are you agreeing with everything every single person says in the comments even though they are saying the complete opposite of each other? Some say the Helix is the best and you reply with "agreed". Others said the FM9 is best, and you replied:"agreed" . 🤡
Agreed
Same thing i do timker too much and not play more.
It’s a curse with modellers
Had both, the Pan won for me too. It's hard to say exactly why but I just got more pleasure from riding the Pan, it's so well balanced that it almost disappears underneath you. The riding position is natural with no pressure points. The ZZR growls and needs riding, fantastic bike though.
I agree
Hi , Jonny, Just wondering how you are getting along with the GTR and if there's any more vids to come . Did you get a new screen? I went for the puig touring which is great
Hello mate , I love it , I sold my GS , bought the Puig touring screen ( light tint ). I’ll definitely do more soon
Great stuff , awesome bikes , I've just put a set of the Bridgestone T32's on mine and they feel great. Looking forward to more vids 👍🏼
Note that Jonny leaves a comment on near every post by a viewer...I believe we are his entertainment!
This is very true 😎
I swear if Jonny Lee were here I'd get him another beer! Maybe a dark dunkel to mix things up.
Drunk jonny is another level 😂
Great review.thinking of swapping my mt 09 for gtr1400 so can go touring.
Do it mate , you won’t regret it .
someone who is not PC and doesn't give a shit, refreshing and good content, cheers mate!
Yeah I’m definitely not PC here . Thanks for watching mate
Got the 2023KRT zx10r love everything about it!!!Too fast!!!😮
Definitely too fast for me
My 2008 zx10r is a rocket ship!!!Take good care of it 97,000 and still going!!!
Wow ! That’s some serious mileage
Jonny...what's happening is that by shit tweedle luck...you've landed on one of the most balanced, smooth runnin' bikes ever made. Low center of gravity means super flickability. Engine like a train. You won't find better. Jonny musta been good.
I agree ☝️
Nice one mate, i drive a similar st, also an ex police bike. looking foreward to go to Hamburg and poland this september with it. Cheers for the nice video.
Have a great time mate ! Thanks for watching.
Love everything about this. Had my GSXR 1000 K5 since 2007. Considered selling it a few times and could never part with it due to sentimental reasons. Once something becomes a strong memory to lost loved ones it's better to just hold on to it. Even if it only gets out once a year. I hope you still have it otherwise I know you would be hiding a massive void.
Yep she’s a keeper
Great video! My question for you is: my pitch shifter is assigned to expression 1 on my volume pedal. When I have my wammy pedal engaged-when I press heel to toe it DOES shift up but there’s not gradual notation. It’s like low E, I press in all the way it all it does is go instantly to the higher octave of E. No “climb” in notation. It’s acting like a detuner…I wanna hear that climb of notes, to the desired pitch shift. What am I doing wrong?
Difficult to say without seeing your settings . That is very strange
@@JonnyLeeguitarist I’ll mess around more with it tonight-appreciate you getting back to me!
Love my St-1100
They’re amazing
Coming from 8 year "marriage" with a 1000 Vstrom from 2002. Im drolling over this bike so bad, zzr 1400 also. Planning to get one in the future but im still on the fence with them 2, probablly ill get the zzr1400 because i never had a sportbike. But GTR it really hides its weight really good, shaft drive and power is like no other.... Such a underrated bike and low profile one ( to the coppers). Ride safe God bless!
Yeah I agree , either the zzr or GTR will make you smile . Thanks for watching. Stay safe 🙏
Got a gen4 when the yellow light is on dash (esd) the standard steering damper needs deleted and a manual 1 fitted then they are great bikes!
Yeah they’re epic !
Thank you for review. This is my next bike. I am still using Kawasaki Versys 650, that bike just can't die, I don't know how to get rid of it... It just works. But I do 3000km a month, so this is it. If I want to change my bike, when my Versys 650 will be gone, I will probably have to wait a decade... 😂😂 I vote only for Japanese bikes!
You’re gonna love the GTR ! 😎
what is the model of this beautiful guitar?
Ernie ball Music Man Luke III , colour Is ocean sparkle .
Had one for 6 years, great bike but in the end the weight got to much ,my versys 1000 feels like a 250 compared to the gtr especially two up ,
Yeah I need to try a Versys . They looks awesome ..
Very nice bike, beautiful seat. Try Michelin Road 6 GTs for great tire life. I have a 2014 Connie, love that bike. Great review by the way!
Cheers mate, yeah I’ll keep them tyres in mind on the next change .
Just put new ones on my Concours today. 11,000 miles on the rear
My 2008 Connie has 173,837Km and has not missed a beat in 16 years. Absolutely love it and living in Aus, we need Intercontinental Missiles. Currently running Road 6 GTs and at 14,000km they are still great.
Michelin Road 6 GT is a game changer, even staying at 190/50 stock rear. Bike tracks neutrally through turns now: no longer trying to stand up, no longer getting yanked around by ruts. Previous were Pirelli Angel GT 2, which were not right for this bike.
Fantastic preset Jonny! Gonna try this one live 👍 Cheers dude
Thanks mate, let me know how it goes.
Thank you for proving to me that my ears are good.So many people complain about stuff that does not matter.I like so many Helix amps. You are a great player. Thanks
Thanks mate
Hhh you reminded me of when I used to warm up my Ducati M900 in the morning...
Funny how we mature 😂
Old fashion. And these days crap bikes. They smell like diesels when you drive behind them.
But full of character
Good common sense bike for the riding you have in Europe.
I completely agree 👍
Man this kicks ass!
Thanks mate 😎
@@JonnyLeeguitarist subbed and snagged a bunch of your presets.
@@hexn00b52 thanks mate !
