Congratulations on kicking Cancers ass! Do what you can to stay healthy and positive. Looking at your legs 6’6” is not meant for this trike. Terra trike does make longer booms for tall riders, so does Catrike, I think they all do for that matter, but I could be wrong. Nice little travel log. Ya I get to see all kinds of critters when I’m out on a ride. I tend to ride in the earlier evening hours when the sun isn’t so hot, (I can’t tan to save my live and I hate wearing sunscreen so I go out when the UV radiation isn’t an issue, plus it’s not so bloody hot). As for cars, drivers give me way more room when I’m on my trike than they ever did when I rode traditional bicycles, they usually give me the whole lane even though I’m usually hugging the curb. I spend most of my riding time on county roads and highways, I like to ride town to town, and we only have a few trails around here. Out on the highway drivers can see me, it’s in town it can get a dicey. When the top of your head is below their hood lines, I know they can’t see me. Especially the drivers behind the lead car, so I always ride defensively and assume I’m invisible, bright flashing lights and flags help with the invisibility thing. Parked cars are the worst, if I can’t tell if there’s a driver in that car, they can’t see me either and I’ve had a few start to back out in front of me or open a door on me. But that use to happen when a rode bicycles as well. As for what to film? Travel logs can be fun, but they’re like watching someone else’s vacation videos, unless you have something of interest, they can become tedious. You gotta have something more than this is me on my trike. I have several such videos, but I know most people aren’t going to watch more than a minute or two of me just riding around. Ya gotta have a purpose, a reason for me to want to watch your video. Me as the viewer needs a hook, something to spark my interest. Maybe your next video you should show us how to swap out your boom and make chain adjustments and then go on a test ride. It’s just a suggestion, anyway, keep riding.

My KMX cobra is 7" off the ground, and the steering self-centers, so there's no wobble, but one wrong move and it's not gonna be good. lol I've had mine up to 35mph with e-assist. That was too fast in my opinion.

I had the 48v 750ah bafang mid drive electric assist, on my catrike speed. I got it up to 53 mph before the front wheels started to death wobble. Actually it was the reason why I bought the recumbent trike. It was my first experience with both. I ended up taking the assist off. Didn't seem like a bicycle and more like a go-kart.

Hm....no cleats (which is fine), but no straps? Also, riding in jeans, you might want to put a rubber band or roll up the right pant leg so it does not get caught in the chain/crank area. Easy to just stop but still dangerous. This is more important on an upright bike. Regardless, I am very pleased to see any recumbent video out on youtube. There is not engough of us creating content, me included. Like you I am going to purchase some type of camera and a mount for the front of my trike or behind and above my head. Not sure how I will do that. Wish me luck and ride safe.

A friend of mine had the same model and color as the one you're riding, Schlumpf cranks, Magura front discs and all. He had me add mounting tabs for a cable operated rear disc brake. He would ride his up an 800' climb, 8 miles south of town. The first 7 miles gained 300', the last mile gained the remaining 500'. I think he was wise to add the second brake system. He recently passed away at 85 years young, still riding the yellow trike around town... No, the trike was not what sent him to the next life!😁

@@Brian3680 for one, sticking the camera on the truck, though still cool to see, would not be the same as one on the bike. I think the only way (though you would have to probably to some serious custom work) would be a custom post behind the driver (or in front some how). and second of all, videos like this is not something I look for, it just pulls you in. seeing other places and having it recorded so you can go back to them in 50 60 years is very cool.

Got a recumbent trike the ICE Sprint X 26 Tour about a year ago. Alot more fun since added a 250W bafang motor to it recently giving about 80 mile range per charge. Before getting the motor the trike just felt too slow climbing hills compared to my bicycles.

Brian, I REALLY like your local street gang! R U feeding them @ current? If not rolled (most palatable) oats are the hot ticket to draw them into U. Melons of all types, fruits, apples, peaches, pears etc., PAYDAY mini's, will have them camping out on your front yard. Feed them daily & soon U will have wild but domesticated to U & U ONLY pets galore! Keep your eyes pealed for the MATRIARCH DOMINANT DOE which in the vid U provided first shows up @ 0:08 into the vid(just to the right of the yield sign) then @ 0:14(nose down on the deck ears straight back). Those ears tight in & straight back means she is dominating the two does in front of her, & those two does well understand this by skittering past her. At 0:24 U see her frozen in place as she is evaluating her herd. At 0:33 a doe attempts to Dominate the Matriarch Doe but the Matriarch Doe drops her ears & pulls them straight back meaning she is looking for a fight of Domination. Notice the challenging doe never brings her ears straight back(means she is bluffing) as she is too frightened to engage with the Matriarch Doe in a Domination contest. At 0:34 the challenging doe is fleeing in terror, mouth hanging open with the Matriarch doe towering over her. The four does forming a semi circle around the challenging doe are intently watching so they can learn NOT WHAT TO DO! I spent 2-1/2 years with a herd(Redland Oregon) of domesticated Columbian Black-Tailed deer from about the middle of June 1966 to almost the end of December of 1968. I've had a lot of pets, horses, goats, pooches, & even a Short Eared Owl(indoor pet/scatter gunned left wing could not fly) but none of them compared to Bitsy-Baby & that herd of CBT deer of hers. If U can anchor that Matriarch Doe, gain her confidence in you then bond as ONE with her U will then have access to the entire herd, plus the all important & ultra precious FAWNS!!!! I included a vid of what U can expect if U can land that Matriarch Doe, & if U do land her WHY your life is going to shoot to the stars & beyond! kzread.info/dash/bejne/naWJya-DacW9Zdo.html

Thanks for the information, I didn't know you could read deer like that. Very educational and interesting. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to feed the deer here, but all my neighbors do.... the d.n.r is always creeping around trying to ticket us for feeding them. I just enjoy watching them. In the summer time there is one momma doe, that walks up to me and let's me pet her nose and scratch her neck. I always thought I was a deer whisperer... lol But maybe she's the one you're referring to... the other deer are still skittish but not her... thank you for teaching me what to look for in her pack. What you can do is cover the body with clear plastic or black plastic it don't matter and then Thumbtack the edges so it stays flat and to the styrofoam and then just fiberglass it however many layers and then trim the edges where the thumbtacks are holding and just pull the shell right out of the fiberglass body that you built just a suggestion
