Stuke's Baseball Cards & Curiosities
Stuke's Baseball Cards & Curiosities
Bought my first baseball cards in 1967, at Douville's Grocery Store in Neche, North Dakota. In the summer of 1968, my Grandfather George "Stuke" Stockton, family nickname, bought me a box of baseball cards. I remember sitting in his front porch opening the cards and going thru them. Sorting out the regular cards from the inserted game cards. I never really stopped collecting from that point forward. I have a permanent collection; semi-permanent collection and I buy sell and trade to support my hobby interest. My goal is to share my enjoyment of the hobby on this channel, with whoever is interested.
And yes, I still have that set of 1968 Topps game cards from that afternoon.

Excellent- showcase of some of your collection. Great eclectic items. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️
I have the same one. It hung in my grandfather's work shop. He and my dad had season tickets for the North Stars' first 19 seasons. Loved going to games at the Met when I was a little kid in the early-mid 80s.
@@danbratten3103 Thank you! I miss the Met.
@stuke1976 I miss the Met too!
I’m right there in my collecting strategy with you Scott! Love that Orel Topps Tiffany. I’m still needed to add that one to my Orel collection. So many fun random items. Nice Kareem Starting lineup card, I’m always picking those up

Frightening thumbnail not withstanding, the variety you have is better than a lot of antique stores I've been in lol

I'm packed and ready for the National going to Ohio early this is what Cleveland looks like Football hall of fame is 2 hours away in Canton 2. The Guardians have 4 home games we''ll probably go to 1 or 2 of them 3. The Rock n roll hall of fame is out there 4. the National starts wed. Mantles Restaurant did close down not sure the year!!! I see a 1979 Ryan with some creases did you get that card in 1979 or later on in life or recently? nice 2nd year Montana , nice 1971 Starr, nice 1971 Unitas lots and lots of great items so in the condition the 1971 Bart Starr is in, in general what do you that cards is worth? so in a condition of a 7 looking at a one touch or a graded case but a 7 in general what do you think that card is worth? so in the condition the 1971 Starr is in out in GreenBay Wiscon. what do you think that card is worth? so in a 7 through a one touch or graded case out in Wisconsin Green Bay area what do you think the 1971 is worth? so for the Unitas out in General in the condition it's in what do you think that card is worth? 1971 in a 7 looking at a one touch or graded case what do you think the 1971 Unitas is worth? so in Baltimore in the condition it's in what do you think that 1971 Unitas is worth? what about a 7 out in Baltimore what do you think that 1971 Unitas is worth?
Thanks Mark! Hope you enjoy the National. The 1979 Nolan Ryan OPC I bought in Dallas at Rich Klein's show. The Bart Starrs are probably work between $1-5, same with Unitas. The graded card values change, so I usually go with a price below Ebay sales, if I ever had a PSA 7 of Starr or Unitas.
So many cool items. I love your collection, Scott.
Thanks Dustin!
Awesome my friend
Thank you!
You did an AMAZING job with your display shelf! I'm always on the hunt as well for treasures! I just found a Sunshine biscuits insert from the 1930s. It had a cartoon disc that came with the box. Hopefully, SGC will grade it. Love the Maris coin proof ❤ Thanks for sharing, Scott!
Thanks Dre! Sounds like an awesome find!

Thanks for the tour, Scott! Loved seeing your stuff. Such cool items. How hard is it to find just a mask for Yogi? Or easier to buy a Yogi with a mask?
Thanks Andy! Buying a Yogi with a mask might be easier, or a repro mask as an option.

Great figurines on your shelf. I especially like the original Killebrew and Mays Hartlands. I like the Colgate Hockey bust they are unique. I once bought a lot of 5 or 6 of them, and had no idea what I was buying.
