A jumble of comedy oddities either directly connected to my books, taken from my private archives, or just me fannying about on stage and the like.
Plus oodles of folklore with Brother Bernard and TALES OF BRITAIN!
Videos which may have got me chucked off KZread are available at Dailymotion: /jemroberts

Tracey is efing brilliant , she should run for Parliament , would be brilliant as P M ❤
Used to ramble through wayland wood in the 1950s. My friend Marshall Thompson died of an overdose in the wood. RIP Marshall . Phil R.
Michel aspel resembles and sounds like ian Ogilvy the damous actor
Excellent. I got a load of these on cassette but no player 😀
A brilliant send up of how completely ridiculous royalty is.
😂
Hugh Laurie is the BEST!
Nowhere near Pete 'n Dud.
Still good though
Everything was so brown in the seventies.
Wonderful. Like HIGNFY!
Too subtle for some, it seems...
Oh “see you in 16 years then” 😢
Miss these 2 they were absolutely Brilliant!!
Suicide is not all in good fun
Hugh Laurie, and Tracy Ullman, are both so brilliant… ‘I guess they could read my name in my underpants tag…’
Arrogant royalty is no joke. Brilliantly acted, showing obsequiousness of 'social climbers'.
What kind of barbarian keeps their cricket pads in the garage?
No where near as funny as Not the 9 o'clock news
some of these songs were in the goodies as well
Brilliant, Thank You
Is that brian cox on the whistle test
Maybe I'm being a bit generous but I think the script reads more like satirical inversion of typical oppressive patriarchy rather than being earnestly hateful toward women. Idk though, maybe it is just reactionary, but it could've been a lot worse.
Lennie Bennett with no perm! I never thought to see the like.
I remember Andy Crane and Phillip Schofield did it after Mike.
Best version I've ever heard! Loved it!
My favourite will always be Ironing my Goldfish. It's perfect nonsense.
Smith & Jones: The Final Head To Head 22.1.24 they seemed emotional....still thick as........amusing, though.
Mel died in 2013 mate.
@@SurvivingTheApocalypse Smith & Jones: The Final Head To Head 0904am 6.5.24 i wasn't aware. at least i dont think it registered with me that mel had jossed it. i liked these guys - infact not the 9 o'clock news was pretty funny.... anyone got the elephant man sketch to upload? (smith and jones skit form yonks ago...) . lots of ire and pent up frustration, here.. which is cool if you are of a thespian bent or wanna perform or give some vent to your innate being... the lags who are stealing my tea towels and underwear should take note for future reference... although everyone i meet feels this must be the lunatic asylum, i can see where that kinds assumption emanated from, i feel i am on the cusp of a wave and could go either way - refer t' the head to head skits which are a kindda leveller... and, school kids aside, which kindda summed up myself and far more intelligent school mate, these face-to-face interactions are comedic gold. proper. the offence lies in their not being in the slightest bit offensive as they sum up the vast majority of people the world over...
this is completely marvellous as a bookend to their work together - think how much wonderful comedy came after this and was derived from it I find it very moving genius
Huh, I could've sworn Ian would be Paul and Jack John!
Now we know what happened to Bertie Wooster when he eventually got married. (And changed his name to Timmy)
Ive always found these intensely boring 💤 still do. Before you ask, Back then we only had 4 channels so not much else to watch.
You mean quantity trumps quality? Huindreds of channels now with absolute dumb down, lefy progressive, diversity inclusive BS with endless adverts promoting the same crap.
Sarah got off light compared to Mike 😂😂
My goodness. In the thumbnail, with Hugh Laurie's hair slicked down like that, and the expression on his face, he looks like the male royals of the early 20th century!
please someone tell me the genre of this music ?
It's a Paul McCartney pastiche.
@@jemsjobs thanks bruv ive searched but i cant find anything like this kinda sound any song in particular which sounds similar thanks again
Rip Howard Lew Lewis "Rabies"
Well, 'When I'm 64' would be the obvious reference for this, maybe Martha My Dear@@Willesden_Rab1_TV
@@jemsjobs thanks for your response - yes very much like when im 64 but pixie paul sounds a lot better to me its happy vibe almost mystic / magical ... personally ive not heard a piece of music more relaxing great upload bruv
Kate Robbins is great!
There's a lot to unpack here 1. Stephen's always been rhythmically challenged 2. I miss Tony Slattery so much 3. I love drag, but damn...
Thank you!
Great stuff!
Always ba-ba-bum your friends; but ask for consent first.
I don't know what Orton was thinking sending what is essentially an obscene publication to Brian Epstein and thinking it would be good for the Beatles....
loved these guys
Arkwright and Warlock Sturgeon were my favourite characters!
Selling flood insurance to cavemen.
@@newsles2 And they were the tailors in the King's New Clothes sketch, as I recall. King, looking in the mirror. "Well, I'm not very happy with this. Look at the bottom. It's got a crack in it." 😄
@@BackToTheBlues Yes! I foergot about that one. Good call.
Tracy always hilarious
🤔🤨💭 ~ I'll never forget it took Me about 4 shows to finally figure out why that taxi driver was on Her show 🚖😁❗ G-G.
Baby Hugh🥺🥺🥺
Mel Smith was my comedy hero, RIP 😥
Colin's Sandwich - brilliant
It wasn't all that good anymore.....
'I am the milkman...' - later on Games Animation had a logo of Stimpy dressed as a milkman on the closing credits of Ren & Stimpy, after that company replaced Spumco on making the series.
'Guru and Guru and Guru...'
Sing Us A Song is brilliant and I love how Bill gets everyone to join in!
