Candidates were asked to do a task on Javascript, to assess their Javascript basics. We see that a lot of candidates learn React too early before mastering JS basics. We teach React to the hired candidates, but expected good programming and JS basics.

Hello Tarun, I am not neccesarily aware with the exact incidents that happened which led to an outcry, however I am aware of the experience I had while working with Deepthought and I have confidence and faith in you. I also understand the frustration of the interns and the challenges they face. The unfortunate fact is that interns will gossip and complain, especially at this age. Not every statement or comment by them is to be taken into account when making decisions or when making changes. If that were the case then an organisation would never function at all. In school, when the teacher schedules a test, gives homework or disciplines students, then there is protest and complaining from them. However, we all know that in that situation the teacher cannot back down on their decision. The teachers are doing exactly what they are paid for, and the students will greatly benefit from such an action, even if they are not aware of such benefits yet. Even making the students aware of the reasoning behind these tests and disciplining won't stop their excuses. In such a situation, the teacher must hold his/her ground and move forward with strictness. Similarly, you have to move forward with your decisions in an assertive manner too. The kind of people to moan and complain make a large part of our society and even they will bleed into your organisation, doesn't matter how strong your selection process is. You will have to do the disciplining Tarun. Be more stringent with them. If you allow such people to influence the organisation in such a way then they will eat away everything. I know you will not appreciate what I am saying and you won't follow them either. But trust me becoming a bit strict is better than facing a situation where you have to take seemingly unjust action to rope in your interns. I appreciate your hard work Tarun and I hope that whatever I wrote you take it kindly. You look sick too, I hope you get well.
