    This will be in English and Google Turkish. I enjoyed watching your video. However, the wind and hardpack dirt brought bad memories. I destroyed my knee 40 years ago on a jump with wind like that. In 2022, after not racing/riding for 35 years, I fell like that guy in front of you and damaged my kidney, causing four nights in the hospital. I have some questions if you are okay with it. - Is that track always windy like that? - Is that dirt dry and hard or wet and very slippery? - How long have you been riding/racing? - Have you entered into other races since that day? I am from Southern California and raced motocross from 1978 to 1987. I hope to see your response. Until then, keep at it; it is a fun sport.

    Hello Sir, Thanks for the comment :) Sorry about your injuries; I hope you're still riding. I also injured one of my knees during an enduro ride, had surgery, and that kept me away from bikes for a year. After that injury, it was hard to get my confidence level up again. I started riding 7 years ago when I was 22-23, but there have been big gaps when I couldn't ride due to injuries or broken bike. Unfortunately, I don't have a real MX track close to my house, so I don't get to ride on one often. I usually practice on a small track close to me or just ride in the woods. The bike I'm riding in the video is an enduro bike for that reason. - Is that track always windy like that? To be honest, it was the first and last time I rode on this track. I heard it's usually windy. They bring a truck to keep it slightly humid to prevent dust, but they don't do any watering beyond that. It's not a well-maintained and prepped mx track. Actually I think there is no track that you can find it well maintained and prepped in Turkey. Maybe one they built for MXGP but its only maintained before each race event. - Is that dirt dry and hard or wet and very slippery? It's party soft and wet on the surface since they brought a water truck to get it somewhat humid to prevent dust before every race. However, that day was super hot, around 36-37°C (98-100°F), so it stayed slightly wet in some parts but usually dry and hard with a dusty soft surface. I remember some of the fast guys complained about it after practice, but they couldn't do much about it. Motocross isn't popular here, not enough riders, and clubs and racing organizations have almost no support, so they can't prep the track properly even before a race. However, it maybe doesn't affect race results, since the fast guys are always faster no matter the conditions. How long have you been riding/racing? I've been riding for about 7 years with a 1.5 year gap. I'm not racing often I attended two local motocross races in the amateur group and a few enduro races in total. Have you entered other races since that day? I've attended two enduro race after this one but no motocross race. I admired your story. It must have been amazing to race during those times in a place where the sport is so popular. I love watching videos of races from those years, especially "On Any Sunday." I hope you are better now after those injuries and still riding. Thanks 👍

    Can’t decide between the two mt09 sound and power is great but 690/701 has a full package of power,suspension and handling difficult decision

  • @goonkem
    @goonkem5 ай бұрын

    there's no wrong choice between the two. I've owned two 690s, and they're special. A civilized supermoto, they maintain that "supermoto" feel unlike some imitators. They thrive on aggressive riding - braking hard into corners, throttle on exit. Fun, but not for a smooth, chill ride. On the other hand, the MT-09 is a blast. The CP3 engine is perfect, and the 2021-2023 models are overall almost perfect naked bikes. Comfortable, great quickshifter, great sound and that torque! It may lack little bit precision, but it's still amazingly fast and fun. Currently, I ride a 1290 Super Adventure S as I've reserved my aggressive riding for off-road with my dirtbike, preferring a more laid-back approach on the road. It's a powerful and comfortable bike, though big bikes does temper the confidence a bit, especially for an average rider like myself. Unlike the spirited antics of a 690, it's not prompting me to attempt stupid wheelies out of every corner.

    Çok haklısın, karşıyı da riske atan bir hareket. O gün o yol bayağı trafiksizdi normalde ve olabildiğince dikkatli olmaya çalışıyordum ama artık bu tarz riskli hareketleri yapmamaya daha çok özen gösteriyorum. ✌️

    Sketchy as. You're riding this like a heavy unresponsive sports bike. Few suggestions: pick wider entries and exits, commit to your line and adjust less mid corner, carry your throttle through the corner building speed all the way through rather than snapping it open on exit, and for the love of god turn the abs off, it will throw you in a ditch through the twisties. These things are weapons, you should have been a lot quicker through the turns then the mt09s. Ride safe 🤙

    Hey, just saw, thanks for your comment! I just wanted to clarify a few things. Firstly, I wasn't intentionally trying to ride faster than the other riders as it was just a fun group ride and not a race. I was doing stupid stuff just for fun. Secondly, the road conditions where I ride aren't great, with dirt and surface problems that don't show up on camer. So, picking a line mostly depends on the surface. Lastly, I wanted to note this bike has a new ABS system that uses a 5-axis IMU. It doesn't reduce braking performance as much as older systems. It's even possible to do a little stoppie into corners with ABS engaged. The braking sound you heard was actually from the rear wheel as I was just having some fun. I’m not saying I’m a fast rider. I’m just a goon having fun most of the time but I would appreciate if you can check out my track video where I was intentionally trying to go faster. Thanks again for your input! kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4aV06mzosXcYc4.html
