Most likely not since the Tiguan r in Europe get the stronger gen3 engine from gti and golf r that can handle more power. The engines here in North America are the Gen 3b that are more efficient and can’t be brought to this state without having issues. A simple tune, cold air intake and bigger turbo inlet pipe will add some power to your Tiguan without breaking the bank.

@@Quik_SQ5 I meant we as in North America but yeah, we got totally shafted as per usual. I'd kill for even a 1.8 with a DSG, cause at least then we'd be able to swap for an is38 and 300+HP. Tragically huge downside to an otherwise great car, love my Tig.

Do a proper comparison test please and the dyno graph is too small can barely read it. I'm betting under 400rwkw there would hardly be a power difference with a k&n panel filter in stock airbox.
