I love to put the creativity hat on and use a variety of techniques while painting furniture and home decor. As a Content Creator for Dixie Belle Chalk Paint, I love to share my demonstrations and techniques with my friends and followers.
Very informative. Duck egg is my go-to color. Trying the fade on a small vanity. 🤞 Thanks for sharing 👍

One of the other tutorials that use brown wax says that it’s water-based and can easily be wiped off.
@BowTieTreasures4 ай бұрын
I don't typically use wax. For the shading I usually use, Chalk Mineral Paint, Voodoo Gel Stain, or Glaze. I believe if you want to use wax, you might start with Clear wax if you want your darker colors to be removed easily.

The consoletable looks really nice! Good job! Could you get the same Look with glaze as well?
@BowTieTreasures5 ай бұрын
Glaze would be something I add after the painting to give it even more aged appearance. It's quite thin so almost more of a tint as opposed to paint. It doesn't help a distressed look as much though. So, if I felt the Vintage Duck Egg was too fresh and bright, I could tone it down with a brown glaze.
