North Soul

North Soul

Deep in our souls we keep our homeland our tradition our music, the melodies that echoed across the mountains passing from one generation to another.
Our souls are united to play the Circassian and Caucasian melodies of our ancestors in our own style.

listen people listen all of you It is the Caucasus mountains that speak A great sorrow that is about to be forgotten Foggy is the pain that time covers What we will remind you today. They are taking us to Istanbul. Oy in the courtyard of my father, alas They are running the carriage The depths of my heart are torn apart My homeland is being abandoned to me. They are taking us to Istanbul. O long road of Istanbul What a detour send my lover too Unfortunately I left it in the village, They are taking us to Istanbul. Oh my little sister oh messy hair You are the one who lights up our house running after me, They are taking us to Istanbul. oh my little brother ah Running horses to the chariot After running the horses They pull us in front of our door and take us to Istanbul. I am from that port day I turned and set off, As we reached the third creek I met a horseman coming. When tears drip from your beard It coincides with the moment of greeting, I get angry and it's not manly Saying that, I go out to the young man. One step is your tear too remaining to see, Said the horseman and the trace I left He made his way and continued. I'm taking that one step I come across a cave. The number of those lying dead is more than fifty, If you add the dying to it It will be about five hundred (almost). The bodice of her dress is torn mother He died with his eyes open. Its cub, which claws at death, It was lying under her usual chest. Unfortunate baby born He wants to eat and cries, If they are not dead yet, they can hear it and Their hearts ache in plain sight. He whined a little more like the sun baby and His tiny eyes narrowed. I gave the yamci to his mother and son. I made a funeral cover for them. My tears as the horseman said, I saw it dripped on the firecracker. There I stood and I took my biggest vow. The one who listens to me, the one with the mind, To save this fraudulent business Even if he is an English or a Turkish pasha I will protect my beautiful Homeland. catching the plague Those who reached the Turkish land they broke, More than half the sea swelled, They disappeared as insect bait. What's left is in these mountain pits You are killing us by holding on. However, your oath; You love our people. To all the mountain peoples If goodness comes, you will be happy. If your oath is so true When those who can't afford it are gone, Our women on horse mane When the khan is snatched by his henchmen, For whose dead did you cry? Why did you accept the persecution? Smurfing is your eye Why didn't you write the amulet? A Shamil, a sultan, You became a messenger of God You who deceive people, Where is the beginning of your troubles? Whose custom shall we make? The burial of your corpses, We'd make you a snake-headed tombstone. The ground groans when we plant it on the ground. If we throw you into the fire we burned and burn you, There is sickness in your burning smell. This is what is most worthy of you; If you become food for mud snakes Cursed people piling up Let the magic disappear in the magic, For those who have never had a problem May your end be bright for them O Adyghe flag, It sways in the wind our news Who will bring it to you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am a Circassian descendant of my ancestors who migrated to Turkey. We will never forget this genocide that the Russians did to us. Respect for the warrior spirits of my ancestors. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIGswaeDlc-zcbw.html

It might be wise for the Circassians to move on and forget about returning to their so-called land. They abandoned their lands a hundred and fifty years ago and do they think miraculously that it will all be peaceful? What a naive idea! The Chechens, Ingush, and Dagestanis are great examples of resilience and stubbornness that reflect the true hardiness of the people of the Caucasus that forced concessions from the Russians to have freedom of religion, culture, and customs regarding land and certain aspect of the economy are autonomous. However, there is a steep cost for such freedoms and heroism where many generations have been lost as such the potential and the prospect of those lost individuals are gone forever, never to be known of what greatness they could've brought to their people in terms of arts, culture, politics, faith, science, language and literature to which many intellectual Chechens, Ingush, and Dagestanis lament at such tragic history and facts. But there would not have the opportunity to lament such facts if they did not have the autonomy to their land, economy, and freedom for their culture, faith, and history. Yet they made their choices heroically despite the impossible choices that they had to make and the sacrifices, which is why they are resented but feared and respected as well, which is important where Russian politics in the modern day only respects power as such the denizens of the North Caucasus must display power which is feared and respected but wisdom as well. This is why there is a stark difference between a fool who hopes for a miracle and a "benevolent" outsider intervention to help them assert their cause, yet only to be betrayed by those "benevolent" outsiders who are only interested in their own gain at the expense of the fool. While the Chechens, Ingush, and Dagestanis bravely fought for their lands, freedom, honor, and clans "teip" and paid the ultimate price not just the lives of martyrs but many generations that could've been born into this world are lost as well, such tragedy and losses cannot be measured or truly understood. This is why there are wise people who write books about their deeds and artists who sing songs about them for their courage and passion for freedom and love of their people which is why their legacy and legend will live on even after they died. However, fate and humanity's fickle nature are not so kind to a fool who forsaken their lands and yielded their children and women to the invaders, as such they will be forgotten and only attracts other "fools" just like them only to "hope". Lastly, even if there is peace in the Caucasus, it will always be an elusive one because there are many dark feelings and tragedies that have not been answered as those dark feelings and losses will always haunt the people in the deepest part of their hearts, which is why in the dynamic world we live in; tomorrow may yet be another stage for a conflict, where there any many martyrs to grieving widows and crying orphans that will echo for generations. To highlight, I harbor no ill will or bias towards the Russians, Chechens, Ingush, and Dagestanis, it's just a pragmatic observation of historical events in terms of politics, and power but it is hard not to feel anything about the courage and heroism of the people of the North Caucasus and their pure intention for freedom, love of their people, culture, family and the children. Even if one is not Muslim or a Chechen one could certainly respect and truly sympathize with them for their losses and courage in times when it is the darkest and bleakest moment in their lives, which I'm always humbled because many will not be able to answer accordingly in such times. One could sincerely wish in face of such tragedy that there will be peace, so they could live for the people that could not make it to this day so their memories, dreams, and hopes are alive in the children who will carry on their will.
