Thank you. I started really stretching when I was 9. Got the splits by 10. And never stopped thanks to many stories by teachers who were inflexible about their past glory day flexibility. The trick is consistency.

For the spinning hook kick it would depend. If you are throwing it while spinning g 360 degrees no. But if you are throwing it and stopping forward on the 180 degree line than yes the principal is the same. I cover that in my taekwondo hooking tutorial from a few year ago on this channel.

OK, I donno if this is the most stupid thing I've seen in my life or what, but I'd rather take components from the various tuls and mixm up. Some of the applications are just stupid. I know your just trying to follow the sequence, but honestly I don't think anybody really understands the sequence and it's probably just a random set of movements anyway.

@@artemisolympia8435 my pleasure. The most important thing I find in a spin kick like this is think 180 degrees not 360 degrees. Thing moving forward and not in an arch.

@@SimonScher I'm usually required to spin 360 degrees because the way I was taught it, was that I had to do a roundhouse kick and then the spin hook kick.

The fading jump spinning side kick is one of my favourite defensive/counter kicks. Good for close range escape while still doing damage. Slows the opponent down, thinks twice.

Sorry, also the heel kick is different from a hock kick. I like the hock kick better because it’s sneaky and snaps harder. The heel kick is very stiff, slow and easy to predict because you’re not supposed to Ben your knee when you throw it. If you bend your knee it’s technically a hook kick.
