    Personally, i agree that the Four Sword era should be its own thing instead of where Nintendo placed it on the Timeline. But everything else throws specific facts that can easily be matched to other games just from the world itself. For example, the Timeline split, we can all agree that the Downfall Timeline needs to be reworked to better fit. But one thing we can all agree is that the Child and Adult Timeline are just fact. One Timeline doesn't disappear bc Link went back in time. If anything, we know "adult" Link went back maybe an hour or so before that Timeline's Link was sealed. As we know Link finds Zelda still in the castle and not running away on horseback with Impa. Yes, i am saying that at that moment in time there were 2 Links, one just starting his journey and the other exiting the Temple of Time.

    I get where you're coming from, but the official timeline uses String Theory to explain time travel, where any changes in the past branch off a form a "new" reality. In this video, I'm using the Grandfather Paradox to explain time travel, which is where any changes made in the past would erase the future and "overwrite" it in a sense. This theory is to clean up most of the anomalies presented in BotW and TotK. As for the multiple Links reasoning you've given, I'm a bit confused. There couldn't have been 2 Links since Princess Zelda uses the same power that the Pedestal of Time uses to time travel. The pedestal sends a persons spirit through time to inhabit a body, not ones physical being. Links spirit is sent into a past or future version of his body. Zelda sends Link spirit back to inhabit the body that existed an hour or so before encountering a young Zelda. With your theory (a cool one none the less), what happens to the second Link? I'm genuinely intrigued lol

    @@juanmanuelcardona19 I think you may have missed the point of the video. I asked the AI to unify the timeline by taking all of the cannon Zelda information and use it to put it in an order where there's no timeline split without changing any lore yet still explains everything without error. I'm aware of the actual timeline lol. And it's actually Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past that happen at the same time, that's why their events are similar. In this certain aspect of why Twilight Princess happens after Spirit Tracks, this unified timeline made it so that in Breath of the Wild, the presence of rock salt from an ancient sea makes sense if a timeline were to have been a straight line without branches

    I really don’t understand the jump from Majora’s Mask to the Imprisioning War. It feels throw there without any connection or thought. I mean, after Link warns Zelda about Ganondorf, the plan from the demon king fall apart, right? So, what happened then? Did the Hyrule king arrest him? Did he die? Where the Zonai enters the story? How many years separate Ocarina of Time from the Imprisioning War? Is it even the same Ganondorf? Can someone try to clarify all of this?

  • @HyruleHystorian
    @HyruleHystorian14 күн бұрын

    The video definitely explains it lol. After Link warns Zelda, the kingdom prepares for Ganondorf's coming attack. Majora's Mask happens a few months after OoT. A couple of years after Majora's Mask, Ganondorf actually attacks and almost succeeds but gets sealed in the process. This is the cannon event, that's not even AI. I'm assuming you haven't beaten A Link to the Past or Tears of the Kingdom as both games explain that event (though slightly different). Even in Twilight Princess' cannon, Ganondorf was not arrested/dealt with immediately. So, to answer your questions, The King has his army fight Ganondorf and his army. Ganondorf does not die nor gets arrested, he is sealed by Rauru. The Zonai was always there as Rauru, The Light Sage, was a Zonai. The Imprisoning War possibly takes place 1-2 years after Ocarina of Time. I hope that helps.

  • @leodefine86
    @leodefine8614 күн бұрын

    @@HyruleHystorian thank you so much, and im sorry for my confusion, i still have some more questions, like how Rauru the Zonai (not the sage in the sacred realm) is the king while he is nowhere to be seen in Ocarina of Time? As my understanding Zelda’s king in OOT is a hylian, right? And where is the OOT Zelda in the events of the imprisioning war? We have the Zelda of Tears of the Kingdom warped to the past for the events for the imprisioning war, but if this event is just a few years after OOT then where is the OOT Zelda? Where is the hylian king of Hyrule?

  • @HyruleHystorian
    @HyruleHystorian14 күн бұрын

    @@leodefine86 No worries!!! I appreciate the engagement. Apparently (in regard to the real lore, not my video), the Light Sage Rauru was always a Zonai, but the legends and stories passed down about the Zonai were lost to time and the stories told assumed everyone was Hylian. Now as for why Rauru is the king and the events of OoT are weird in TotK, here's a quote from Nintendo themselves: "...but of course, it could be that we're wrong as well!" (Yes, they actually said this about TotK lol that the story shown could be incorrect). So, with Ninty saying what we see is possibly wrong, the OoT king is still most likely Hylian. OoT Zelda would've still been a child and wouldn't be involved in any events of the Imprisoning War. OoT Zelda was more than likely in the castle being a kid as she would have been 12-13yrs old with no need to train with Impa since this is a timeline where she warns them, which would explain how BotW Zelda and Queen Sonia were on to Ganondorf's plan and weren't deceived at all. Hope this helps!

In the backstory of those two games, a Zelda was put into a deep sleep (which is in the game manual for Zelda 2), so when you wake up the princess at the end of Zelda 2, the princess in Zelda 1 is still alive as well. • @HyruleHystorian

    Well, BotW and TotK actually refute those facts as many things are found in those games that contradict a timeline split. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but a unified timeline from the beginning makes a tad more sense than a "reconvergence" of all 3 timelines as there are no events or evidence to support that. Also, there's a "popular opinion" on the reasoning for the Downfall timeline making no sense since it's brought about through Link dying in the battle with Ganon in OoT, which would mean there should be a new timeline every time a player has a game over, or at the very least, at the end of every final fight since technically Link has a possibility to lose every one of those fights as well. Either way, it's just a fun video! Hope you enjoyed!

    That doesn’t answer the question at all. Does it speculate anything about OOT Ganondorf being the same in TOTK? Not making any sense. If the Zelda team tried to provide closure about how the Downfall timeline is made and meant to line it up with BOTW; there’s nothing evident about the Hero of Time’s defeat with just a plain normal game over screen (and with it only being structured as a “What if” scenario, not a canon timeline). Only the Minish Cap has an example of a different Game Over ending, and would actually make sense to connect the Fallen Timeline and reintroduce Ganondorf.

    DIdn't watch yet, I will sometime shortly. Also time ends at 4/20, nice. But yes, they also directly tease two versions of a dark world. First is the underground. The second is that Ganondorf has seemingly been shaping the world "into" the Dark World as the trailers go. You'll notice in each gameplay trailer the world gets "darker" themed. The clip in the recent trailer of the "Restored Hyrule Castle", notice Link's batteries on his hip. All 8 are there. This is later in the game. And so is the other clips of the world changing drastically -- including the newer one where Link has 6 batteries above Lake Hylia. Where Link above Lake Hylia with 1-4, there is nothing wrong with it. So a simple point to make: The world is going to be changing the more the story progresses, and it's very, very likely and the world we play in "Turns into" the Dark World.

  • @itsJoshW
    @itsJoshW Жыл бұрын

    Watched it. It's not Demise. The cut reveal was to provide you anticipation for the Blood Moon version of Ganondorf -- which is a redesign to retcon the purpose of Demise. Demise's entire purpose was to provide a backstory for why Ganon existed, not Ganondorf. So it took Ganondorf and effectively retconned him and the purpose "he" had filled in ALTTP & OoT / WW, and instead changed it to "An eternal hatred of the goddess hylia for no reason". In SS, he was considered the embodiment of hatred and evil reincarnted across each Zelda lineage. In religious terms, they chose to make Demise "Lucifer" and Hylia/Zelda as God. Which, in relative terms to the original games, is an entire problem when you consider "What do you do for the next games plot". Low and behold -- BOTW. Where the plot was a continuation of Skyward Sword and was entirely broken by premise and concept. "Calamity Ganon" was, effectively, the hatred of "Ganon" (Implied to be demise's reincarnation) manifesting from the under world (hell) to attack "The blood of the Goddess and her chosen spirit of the hero". When you look at this through the lens of people who only played the mainline games (Zelda, ALTTP, OoT, Majoras Mask, Wind Waker, maybe Twilight Princess) -- BOTW's story is so out of touch with the lore of Zelda. But it fits perfectly with Skyward Sword...because it's a continuation of Skyward Sword post the other games (Undetermiend where, since Nintendo wasn't sure if they wanted to follow this plot, or go with another one). I long suspected the reason TOTK development was this long was due to them requiring an entire redesign of the plot of the game so they could appropriately retcon Skyward Sword, remove alternative history games from the timeline, and adjust it such that the "Fallen Hero" timeline is a bit more understood, and such that they can 'combine' the timelines in a way to provide lore events of each without actually retconning the classics. Anyway, that's my bit of speculation at the end. I am certain that they're retconning Skyward Sword. The question is to what extent are they doing this, and to what they are doing with that game --and what other games will be retconned. It's possible that BOTW isn't on the main timeline, but TOTK is, and it's also possible that TOTK comes far after Ocarina of Time in the adult timeline, which opens the door for two different sequels: One that tells of why ganondorf is below the castle, and one that tells the actual events that happened before OoT. And then that also provides the ability to do the same for each of the other games (Without retconning the original lore, as they did with Skyward Sword, which tanked 2 different times now).

    Close. I'm glad someone is doing this without trying to turn everything "into" Skyward Sword (I swear to god every theory video is "this is skyward sword 2.0, we're going to meet skyloftians and sky people and the wind tribe and ganondorf is going to help us beat demise!" You probably already know this. Before going forward: - Skyward Sword Retconned Ganondorf & The Sacred Realm. Ganondorf was replaced by Demise. & the Sacred Realm would be an entirely different plane only accessible by those granted permission by "The Goddess Hylia", known as the Silent Realm. They serve the same purpose (both of these two retcons). Skyward Sword also retconned the nature and purpose of the Master Sword, which was specifically to counter the powers of the Triforce; Wherein the Sages created it; Skyward Sword depicts it was a blade created by the God's (It's not). - In order for the Sacred Realm to be depicted exactly how it was in A Link To The Past & Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword would be required to not exist. Simply put; that would ether be Hyrule in the Sky (it's not) or on another dimensional plane (Silent realm) that is not above he clouds (Like the Silent Realm). - Ganondorf wouldn't exist as "Demise" had the same premise & role as Ganondorf. His purpose, and even his design, is a mirror and retcon of Ganondorf. That out of the way; you're very close to what I figured out, too. Aside from above, the next section is that Zelda didn't go "into the past wooooo 10,000 years ago!!!" lol. Zelda is in present day. Link is knocked out, damaged from the encounter, and healing. Zelda & (spoiler person) called upon the sages to go attempt to seal Ganondorf before he regains his full power with the blood moon. "Link is our last line of defense" (Or whatever he says, not going back to find the exact phrasing, it's basically this) is directly implied that Link is resting and healing, Zelda & the sages will go attempt to stop Ganondorf, and if they fail they'll try to retreat, and Link will be viably capable of saving them & stopping Ganondorf before he obtains the Triforce (Link has the Triforce of Courage, Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom, which I'm sure you already know since you aren't doing the gist of what everyone else is doing lol). That being said, about a slight duratinon of time occurs; We see the cutscene of them rushing Ganondorf -- note the crown on Sidon's head in the one cutscene, but not in the gameplay one. This cutscene came "before" Link woke up. They fail. Zelda is captured, along with other sages. You're goal is to free the sages who are locked in each temple, and they'll become ally's along the way. The recent trailer also heavily implied potential multiplayer.

    Also to add to this: Zelda's ancestor is the leader of the sages, as Zelda was implied (heavily on OoT) to be the Sage of Light, whilst Rauru was (heavily implied) to be a deity of time. Explained below. To promptly address some fun aspects of retcon; the Zelda series is no stranger to retcon, but usually it isn't "that" drastic (as skyward sword was). Skyward Sword retconned Sages too, which would deem that "if Sages return", then SS was retconned. If they do not and this is another "champion hero" nonsense, then SS lore applies. Moreover; Zelda's ancestor was non-existent due to Skyward Sword -- as her "Connections to the God's were retconned to be directly "a Goddess" instead. In reality to lore -- that "ancestor" is who we would be calling Hylia, if this does indeed use the original Lore of the series. Why I'm implying Rauru would be a deity, and Zelda the Sage of Light: Although a theory... Rauru created the Temple of Time & The Temple of Light in the Sacred Realm. Additionally, the tomb of the royal family has (specifically) the Sun Song with scripters that directly imply that Zelda's ancestor was the Sage of Light. The twist at the end should also have told players this note, as was evidently where Zelda told Link she was the 7th Sage & the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom. The problem is that they cut the 6th sage also from the game, which would make that a bit impossible to exist; As we already know from cut content that the concept of a Wind temple & wind sage was cut from the development of OoT -- this was also where Ura Zelda theories existed early back in the day. This was later used in Wind Waker.

    "Ganon has the tear of Shadow". Heavily implied in the trailer, actually. Nocturne of Shadow is in a slight cadence in the trailer if you speed it to 2x you'll likely hear it. Although (again) people make wild accusations and are trying to connect skyward sword and minish cap instead of using the trailers and figuring out the plot (Which I applaud you, amazing job. Under 2 minutes too lol). Agreed almost entirely with the timeline portion; I don't think they'll be capable of retconning it to make it a single timeline -- instead they're using it to retcon Skyward Sword and the abysmal DS games (that make no sense to be in the timeline) and push them to their own faction or remove them from canon. It's already been proven numerous times that Skyward Sword, and the lore it generated, was not what people enjoy. Certain people do, but it doesn't sell as well as Ocarina of Time's -- which was essentially the lore before Skyward Sword existed. The last minute is my prediction as well. So glad someone else actually looked through the trailers the correct way! Amazing job. Literally, amazing. 10/10.

    The moment I discovered the Dark World is burned into my brain. While playing LttP as a kid, thinking I had just beat the game, and then being hurled into the Dark World and realizing the game was twice as large and 3 times longer than I had thought, completely blew my mind. I've been hoping for something similar in TotK. As insanely huge at BotW was, it could've been 10 times larger and I wouldn't have minded one bit. Also hoping for massive, interconnected cave systems like mentioned in the video. That was one of the best things about LttP and Link's Awakening. Hoping we get our new Dark World or whatever else it might be 🤞🏻

    I think you’re close… but to slightly alter it a bit - I think we’ll be playing against ganondorf in the main timeline (everything we have seen) but we will also fight against demise (or a different version of ganondorf) 10,000 years in the past when the Zonai were the dominant group in Hyrule. ThIs is why we see a Zonai Zelda look alike. link will need to find Zelda (in the past) and many things hint he’ll be able to travel through time to do so (recall ability, and him in the non destroyed sanctum). So in a weird series of events, you may be the Link that seals demise 10,000 years ago and then will need to fight of ganondorf in the present

    I’m guessing that’s where Zelda fell to then.

    In regards to Demise, Zeltik mentioned in his analysis video. The Demise looking figure and Ganondorf are both stood in the exact same place. Suggesting that it's more of a transformation of Ganondorf, as opposed to Demise himself

    Man, all timelines are colliding in one game, if this theory is correct, it means that we are going to have twilight princess, skyward sword, and a link to the past in one game 🤯🤯🤯

    Love the theory. The best thing Nintendo could do would be to bring back as much old lore as possible.
