Daria: This is beautiful. :) This proves to a younger generation of guitarists that THERE IS other "Spirited tempo arpeggio repertoire".......besides the Brouwer No. 6, etc. This is a delightful "tonal" yet, soothing......show piece. Exquisite. :) Antoine

Hi everyone, today I want to share a fragment of one of the 5 pieces from my upcoming guitar suite. Originally I intended this suite to be a collection of beginner/intermediate-friendly pieces that are both accessible for guitarists of all levels and sound beautiful as well. I managed to fulfill second requirement on all five, but this one piece turned out to be slightly more difficult that I initially planned. I even thought about scraping it and writing a new piece, but it fitted the theme and the mood so well so in the end I decided to keep it as a part of the suite. I'm currently in the process of recording the whole cycle and hopefully will be releasing it in a couple of weeks, so please stay tuned! Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this one, see you soon!

It does! This piece is written by Silvius Leopold Weiss, baroque lutenist and Bach's contemporary. He is perhaps the closest thing to Bach we got in classical guitar repertoire that is not Bach himself :)

Hi everyone, it's been a while! I know I kinda disappeared again, the thing is, I had to get another surgery done, this time on my right hand and it took quite a bit of time for me to recover - I had to stop playing for a month and it took another month and a half to get back into shape for recording. In the meantime I've been quite busy with writing new music, including a guitar cycle, a suite of sorts consisting of five pieces. I'm planning to release the whole suite once I record it, so it probably will take a bit more time, but I might share some snippets before release, so stay tuned! Anyway, today I want to share with you a fragment of the classical guitar piece I'm currently practicing, two variations from Weiss' Passacaglia, apologies for camera going crazy a few times with lighting and colors :D, hope you'll enjoy this one!
