I’m 23 years of age and yes I’ve had my heart broken. Being 16 and first falling in love with a girl with all the hormones raging was intense. I was invited to her sweet 16th and we had a couple of drinks which was a lot for us when we were young and I told her how i felt. She laughed hysterically. Friend zoned me after flirting and leading me on for MONTHS grabbed an older guy there and made out with him. All of her friends and his friends laughed at me. I almost broke down there but ran outside, threw up and slipped over and hurt myself. I got home and my parents were so pissed at me for coming home late I got the belt. I stayed up all night crying and didn’t sleep for 2 days. After that weekend and returning to school she didn’t even acknowledge me even though we’ve known each other for years. My heart shattered into a million pieces and when I gathered all the pieces together and glued it all back together I promised myself never to be that vulnerable again and never show your feelings for a woman or girl again. 7 years later and I’ve lost count of the amount of women I have slept with. Doesn’t fill the void at all but I’ve learnt to let go. Don’t let one bad experience ruin your heart. Be strong and love yourself and learn to let go of situations in life you can’t control. There is someone out there you will zing with and you will have your happily ever after. I wish nothing but happiness and love to you all ❤
