Christopher Jackson has one of my favourite voices ever. It’s so soulful, a beautiful timbre, and so resonant. And, Jemma Rix will forever be my Elphaba. She was so ON when I went to see Wicked. Every note was literally perfect.

There is a vast difference between the 'real' Broadway performer and the 'stunt' casting, although they (famous person) was adequate, there really was no contest between the two, nice comparison thanks for the video !!

Stark Sands put more emotion into the song but I’m sorry, Brendan Urie has an amazing and fucking gorgeous voice. I think that was the only stunt cast I liked better. (Also Jane Horrocks destroyed me, holy shit I love that play).

as an outsider to theatre community my observations: many actors seem to be giving more with less apparent effort than the celebrities. like they are super talented + have invisible vr system which convinces them they’re really in the world they’re showing to the audience + still aware of the overlaid 3d space occupied by the viewers, mindful of how their physical form and voice and “presence” relates to this unnaturally lit space occupied by unusual and varied perspectives + innately gifted in emotional awareness and expression. i enjoyed it alot, thanks for putting this together!
