  I have a '99 Infiniti i30 that I do not know what is supposed to light up in the top center? Is that for the transmission? If so, mine does not work, what could be wrong?

  I can confirm these guys do great work. I have a 2006 Altima that had a malfunctioning fuel gauge. I just ignored it and used my trip odometer as a gas gauge, but then I started getting a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT code P0420 (low fuel gauge voltage input). In NYS a car won't pass inspection with that code. I sent my instrument cluster to them and it was returned quickly with no more CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and the gas gauge working fine again. Well worth the money! 👍

  I have a 1998 Chevy Cavalier that has a thermal problem in a component inside the instrument panel. The lights on the left side of the cluster will not come on unless I apply heat to the component board. When it warms up a bit, the lights come on and the car will start. I will not get ignition unless this happens. Where can I get a replacement?

  My backlights, mileage, speedometer, RPMs all work. All My other gauges fuel, temp, battery don’t move. And all the brake light, battery light, Check engine light are on. My cluster is lit up like a Christmas tree except a couple gauges aren’t functioning. From your explanation that’s a cluster issue?

  So i have basically the cluster pictured in a 96 bronco. When i get going over about 65 the speedometer starts bouncing back and forth centered over the actual speed then center of bounce moves to like 50. Needle bouncing from 30-70 when it’s center at like 50

  Yes it would. But it may have the same or similar faults. I fixed mine myself. I simply resoldered all soldering points that were big enough. And try to "reflow" all soldering points on the SMD components using a heatgun set at 230C. Seems to work now but who knows how long...

  I have the urgent air bag warning. I also have clock sometimes running backwards quickly and occasional weird pixels. My indy and a Volvo dealer both said there are no codes to clear so how does that work? After you fix the DIM they WILL see codes to clear?

  You may have your answer by now but I’ll answer it anyway. It’s certainly possible that your car will show codes after it’s repaired. Due to faulty solder joints the cluster is not able to show you the 004D code that it should throw because of the airbag light. There’s a faulty joint between the LED Driver and the Airbag LED and the board thinks the Airbag LED is faulty but it’s clearly not because it’s lit in your case. Clock running backwards is due to faulty connections between the MCU and the boards Display Driver. We’ve rebuilt about 1500 of these boards over the last few years. For what it’s worth, I’m not associated with Washington Cluster Fix, I have my own repair shop.

  @@mouser485 thank you for your reply. I did send it out for repair and when it came back, it did still show the urgent airbag message and the airbag light but my Indy now did see codes he was able to clear. Interestingly, it was for a drivers door airbag, which I don’t even have. the urgent message and the airbag light are gone but, my gas gauge stopped working. The guy who repaired it said that has nothing to do with him repairing the cluster. He said probably sending unit. Coincidence? I can now get the car inspected with the airbag warning and light gone and can live without a gas if I have to, but just coincidental?

  @@jeffflowers729 It could be a sending unit as I’ve never had to replace a faulty gauge in one of those clusters. I’d say those are probably the most reliable gauges used in a car so yes, check the sending unit. However, if it’s not the sending unit, I’d almost guess it was a problem with the circuit board, specifically the gauge driver. I’d put the gauge itself as the last thing to check. #1 sender, #2, circuit board, #3 gauge. That’s the order I’d go in if I was going to diagnose a fuel gauge problem in that particular car.

  I would like to know where the area is located in the eeprom that contains the radio security code that the instrument panel sends out that will unlock the stereo. I know the location of the code in the stereo itself but would like to know the location in panel so it can be edited to match. 1999 beetle is the year.

  On a different note. I have a 2007. Did you ever run into the trouble of your air vent motor turning on by itself with the dials in the off position? If yes what the heck was causing it to do that?

  i hate my h2 in 4 years i replaced the all ac system, two transmissions ,front wheel systems and now the cluster is dead.. is there no end to these demon cars..after this fix its getting sold and im getting a old doge van . lol they never stop running

  Hi I have 1995 Ford e350, Tire size 225/75/R16 The transmission shift early because the speedometer needs calibration,& I don't know how to do it? Can please help me to find out which calibration number to enter it in the speedometer to fix this problem. Thank you.

  Yeah I just had my cluster rebuilt and found out the crappy way my old cluster was good… what’s the chances of me using a pick and just slightly bending the terminal over instead of completely depinning?

  I have a 94 RV E-350. It is shifting to 4th immediately when I start from a stop and it doesn't downshift if I hit the gas at speed. It works fine if I shift it manually. My speedo seems to work fine. Do you think it could be the PSOM? EDIT: The PSOM was fine. The ECU ended up being the problem.

  You will want to match the part number that is on the back cover of your cluster when replacing but it will also come with whatever mileage the donor vehicle had.

  I have an 02 cluster that has a speedo that sticks and moves in increments instead of just moving smoothly. I have checked all the things on the board except whats under the board with the eeprom because I don't dare to desolder all those pins. Has anyone else ever seen a cluster with this issue?

  Maybe it is dragging on the gauge face because the needle was pressed down too far?
