I think this was a "demonstration" of what Sin was actually capable of to show them what was at stake. And this Sin was not even at full strength and still could crave enormous scars in the planet.

i beat him by pure luck he petrified them a few times but didnt shatter them and titus ult attack for some reason did 9999 damage
I just overdrive all aeons and killed him in about 3 mins . Didn’t even need reflect

Have yuna cast reflect with your two strongest attackers out and it’s game over. Very easy. I got him down to 10kish and then overdrive summoned Bahamian and he went down.

I’m baffled that people actually enjoy FFX. This is my first time playing through it. Terrible sorry, the worst voice acting I’ve ever heard, and obnoxious boss fights. The fact that this terrible entry came after the masterpiece that is FFIX is so confusing.
I mean you got far enough through the story to search up how to defeat this boss so I reckon there is an element of enjoyment you are getting from the game. Your comment is most likely just salt from dying to this boss a few times and not having the breeze through content you're used to as a natural born shitter.

I tried this for the first time last night and I assumed from the tutorial that you were supposed to look for actual button prompts..

Press the left analog follow the Jecht words pop-up then press X you will get it in correctly.
Watching you struggle through this fight was painful, good video...but there's a lot smarter ways to go about this boss fight
I forgot just how horrifying that attack was. A gravity field so intense that it didn't just pull rocks from the moon, but seemed to be pulling the moon ITSELF down. And then after the shot, that cavitation tunnel each shot carved.... and how long they held like that before gravity reasserted itself and everything blew inward... (still don't know why the land exploded, but maybe it's a tectonic over-pressure thing?)

right? and the one shot implies the hits bored down into the earth and sort of apple-cored it… like how deep did those blasts actually go?
@@c.o.6414 from the looks of it, hundreds of kilometers. Enough that you couldn't see the entire 'design' except from orbit, and the shots actually accounted for the curve of the planet. I don't think the one shot the cam followed was going down though: it was burrowing through the ocean and land just like the others. It's just the way the shot looks that made it seem 'downward'. It's actually a shot to the SIDE, but it's still coring it's way through stuff. Just at a shallow angle.
If you’re playing the HD remaster just use the joystick - makes it INCREDIBLY easy.

finally after 21 years, I did it.. I did the Jetch Shot!! just did it 2 mins ago and feel.a great sense of satisfaction!!! I wish my 19 yr old self could've done it back then! Thank you because i didn't really understand how to use the button prompts back then... looks even better on the HD remaster of the game!

You definitely don't know how to use Yojimbo. You need to build trust, use him in every single battle to earn trust. Pay him 1,000 every time and when he gets overdrive pay him 1,200 or more and you'll get a instant Zanmato. Zanmato only triggers when you trust him in battle an when you pay him a little higher than usual. That's why when you pay him a huge amount, unnecessarily, you wont get Zanmato. You don't need to waste Gil in Yojimbo if you know how to use it right.
How does everyone manage to get their characters prepped in overdrive before the fight? I just keep dying
Grind and get ur overdrive full even with ur aeons before u battle with him

You gotta do those little fights before his battle. Get all your guardians to overdrive and save it for Seymour. But be careful with your aeons because he banishes them after one turn, so make sure your aeons have their overdrive and use it soon as you spawn them. Then use your rest of your overdrives from your guardians on Seymour

I'm getting pissed off just watching this shit. I hate this boss. I hate seymours pretentious ass altogether.
This is a lot more simple than people think it is, myself included when I first played it and again, years later. All you have to do is press the controller in the direction of the pieces of dialogue (memories) that you see and press the corresponding button at the same time (X on Playstation). For example, if you see dialogue in the upper left, you press upper left on the controller and x. If it's on the right, you press right and x together. I think you have to get five or six correct and you'll see Tidus kick the ball, and get a scene where Yuna says "that's the Jecht shot, right?".
The confusion stems from the fact that the way the game explains it makes it seem like you are looking for actual button prompts, not squiggly jecht comments. So when those randomly keep showing up, it dont seem like the first idea would be 'hey that one is SORT OF in the lower left, so maybe that mean somethin?'
