  I consider General Luna Street in ILOILO CITY as the Most Beautiful Street in the Philippines, because it has a rare collection of well-designed turn-of-the-century Spanish era and American era heritage buildings, also grand heritage mansions, Spanish era religious convents, century-old universities, exclusive schools, hi-tech hospitals, chapels, the century-old Iloilo Central Elementary School; the former residence of the Archbishop; hotels, residential condominiums, vsnking institutions; a shopping mall; cafes, bakeshops, restaurants, Spanish era grilled fences heavy with blooming bougainvilleas, center island trees, and company offices. What makes General Luna Street unveatsble is that at the back of sll these buildings is the river , edged with the 3-kilometer long Esplanades which runs parallel to General Luna Street. Such are combination of heritage and modern bldgs, eateries, and even two Museums at thw two universities, and with the parallel Esplanades by the river, make General Luna the most beautiful street in the Philippines.

These statements are not illusory but fact-based, ILOILO CITY doesn't compete with other Philippine cities but looks up to and is inspired with the great cities of the world. This fact is obvious when visiting ILOILO CITY and exploring the city. ILOILO CITY is the best city in the Philippines, the most beautiful, cleanest, mist orderly, charming old-world European romantic, most walkable, and most livable city in the Philippines.
