I feel like the axis of the carbon fiber was the main fault. I guess you just said that

It just shocks me to see how they attached the rings in a non clean room

I cannot wait for the NTSB report. Odd things happen at very high pressure differentials; for example, if the viewport blew then the vessel could have exploded from the mother of all water hammers, with the heat of compression and possible steam generation adding to the mix.

“… It’s 667 layers of carbon fiber…” says rush. 667? That’s one more than 666. Is it not?

I just noticed @7:39 , the ring that is epoxied to the “carbon fiber tube” is split. If you’ll look at it, you’ll notice the sunshine is shining through the white plastic cover and you can see where there’s a huge split at the top around 11 o’clock..

I would highly recommend a fuzzy cover for your microphone to cut the wind rumble. It would make your voice much easier to understand.

Considering the abysmal standards of design/assembly, all of these materials actually outperformed their specification range.

Just found Stinkhorn eggs digging around the soil surrounding my greenhouse in Colorado. I have to say, I was extremely grossed out by the eggs and glad I got rid of them before they popped up! Thank you for the video!

I wish you luck ridding your area of these disgusting fly magnets. We put down mulch years ago yhat had these spores in it. No matter what we've done they always come back and everywhere. Just when you think finally,..and they're back. Even removing all the old mulch and surrounding soil, a constant battle. Again good luck and don't let your guard down.

So many warnings. They even cautioned t o obtain an ultrasound at least before this dive. But he wanted to hold out until the expiration time. So tragic. I have to say it is a blessing that they never felt any pain. With the alarms showing red I am sure there was apprehension.

Thank you so much! Cool history lessons about our ancients : ) Much appreciated. I Cannot wait to try this method and boil it down a bit, possibly making a juniper, Scot's pine and birch gin. You dived in on all of the amino acids and phytochemical constituents as well which was mu favorite part, great work!

Thank Jamie for sharing some of your knollage here with the wider world. I found you looking for knolage about birch water and found myself working through most of your videos. I happen to have some birch polypore that i dryed last yr, which is now boiling in a pot on my stove as im having digestive trouble and a stinking cold. I also have more of it thats been steeping in alcahol for several months now so ill mix some in with the tea for a full spectrum of yummys. Im looking forward to how my body reacts. Thanks again for being apart of keeping a collective knollage of the magical gift from the natural world alive xR

Given his attitude, if a more robust design (e.g. a range of orientations) had been used, he simply would have done more dives until it eventually failed. The only thing that changes in this hypothetical is the identities of the people who died.

I’m interested to see what types of edible plants can be foraged in Ireland if you’re ever up for making a video about it down the line! Thanks for the informative videos and hope you and Hemp are doing well!

Stockton Rush clearly says that the fibres are laid 0/90. In another interview he said it was in the ratio 1:2 axial : radial which is exactly what you'd expect because that's the stress ratio. If there were no axial fibres it'd only have the strength of the epoxy in the axial direction which is much, much lower than the full CFRP. You talk about multiple impact loads. What caused these?
